Minutes from Capitol Hill and next to two major freeways (295 and 50), Cheverly is perfectly located for DC guests! Enjoy your own private entrance, full bath, kitchenette, large plasma smart TV, fireplace, dinning area, and queen pullout and full mattress. Additionally, you have access to the laundry room, shared by you and homeowners. Please note: we are a family with children and this set up is not suited for persons who plan to work for home, its ideal for those who work away from home. The space With high ceilings and plenty of windows for natural light, this space hardly feels like a basement studio, but rather a bright and open oasis. The floors are cork, very soft and comfortable. In the kitchenette there is a bar with stools that doubles as an island. There is Netflix available on the large flatscreen, so guests can enjoy a show or movie anytime. Guest access Separate entrance with a keypad through basement stairs in back yard. Other things to note We love our studio apartment and hope we can share it with you! The space is equipped with clean sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, and a stand up closet to hang clothing. The kitchenette is stocked with basic essentials such as plates, bowls, glasses, and utensils, coffee maker, paper towels, and a few pots and pans. No spices available other than salt and pepper. PLEASE NOTE: 1. This location is not ideal for guests without car, as we are not walking distance to a grocery store—unless you are ok with getting groceries delivered. 2. Due to the fact that we are a family living upstairs, this set up is ideal for individuals working outside the home during the day. It is not well suited for individuals who work from home (as its not a quiet space during the daytime). Please do not request to book if you plan be home during regular business hours during the week. 3. Given that this is a studio apartment and essentially one large living space with a full size bed, it is best suited to accommodate one individual guest for long-term stays. Long term guests are able to have overnight visitors and therefore the space can sleep 2, but otherwise we find it most comfortable as a one person stay.
