Description

This is a fun, beautiful, safe place to stay on our working, 35 acre ranch/farm with horses and yaks. Owned by an artist/teacher, this adobe home is full of interesting vintage finds and character. It's no-frills European-style, and you have your own dedicated bathroom/shower that is not shared with others while you are here. Your sunny, private bedroom awaits! It looks like France when you look out into the serene valley! The space Art, character, great location, parking space, use of the kitchen. Make yourself at home! We have a cat and our dog is sometimes here too. The cat may visit or not, its up to you. Your bedroom has a very comfortable mid-century double size bed with lovely linens/sheets. We provide you with a guest bath towel(s) for your convenience. I often can provide you with simple breakfast items (homemade coffee breads, coffee/tea, etc...) Please let me know if you have any specific dietary needs and I can try to accommodate you if possible. Please don't bring meals into the bedrooms-- feel free to use the dining area. While we don't have "air conditioning" in each room, but the natural adobe walls and cool evenings leave the home feeling very comfortable. Evenings are usually pretty cool up here. We barely have any humidity out here in the high desert mountains. This is an old adobe farmstead that we are restoring, so think "Grandma/Abuela-The-Artist's-Place". THIS IS A WORKING FARM. There is dirt, mud, etc... We are an hours drive from Taos, Sipapu is near by, and Santa Fe is an hour and a half. Las Vegas and the Montezuma Hot Springs are 30 mins away. Let this be your hub as you explore the area. We have interesting architectural features and mills here in the Mora valley to check out. Fiber artists take note: the Tapetes de Lana is here 5 miles away, as is the Alpaca ranch. Guest access Guests may have access to the kitchen. Refrigerator space is limited, so please bring your own cooler if you will need to keep things cold that are larger than what you would find in a lunch box. Please do not cook or prepare food in the kitchen after 9PM, unless we work something out in advance. We are farmers and we get up early-- we need all the beauty sleep we can get. We provide coffee, tea, and usually have breakfast treats out for you as well, often home-baked using fine and fresh ingredients from the local farm. Guests do not have access to the other bedrooms in the home. Please do not smoke, vape, use candles or open flames in the home. During your stay As much or as little as you'd like. We are here to help you enjoy your stay. When we travel, we sometimes appreciate company, sometimes we like to do things on our own. We respect what works for you. Other things to note No smoking inside the house, please. We can be a little tricky to find, but we will give you specific directions once you book with us. Long term stay information: Bookings longer than one week duration is considered "long term stay." Guests are responsible for laundering their sheets, taking care of trash that they generate (trash days are Tuesdays and Fridays), meals, toiletries, cleaning their room, washing dishes, etc... room cleaning service could be available for an extra fee.
