Description
Cozy casita, surrounded by farmland in the Rio Grand Valley. Nestled between the mountains with beautiful sunrise's over the mountains in the east & spectacular sunsets to the west. The night sky is fantastic. 30 mins to Bosque del Apache & Ladd S.Gordon Wildlife preserve. Located minutes off the hwy & ten min from Socorro. Plenty of Parking, including trailers or RV's. Horse back trail rides & excursions into the high desert for Pictographs, petroglyphs or rockhounding can be arranged. . The space The Casita is in a separate building from the main house and consists of a recently remodeled bedroom, bathroom with a shower, and a combined kitchen dining area and living space. Kitchen has a new frig, microwave and four burner stove and oven with dishes pans and cutlery. We have recently installed a rock and perennial garden, for contemplating while sitting in the shade of the mature pecan trees. We only use organic cleaning products and detergents. However currently we are cleaning the entire Casita with disinfectant, Due to the virus Guest access Guests have full access to the outdoor sitting areas, and grill as desired. The area is very rural and private. There is easy access to trails for hiking, walking, or running. Other things to note We will supply bedding, blankets, bath towels and hand and dish soap and shampoo. Please wash your own dishes. We have a Netgear modem for Wifi,for use on your devices. There is also a Roku and Netflix for your use. Cell service works well. We are close to the RR tracks and do get a few trains thru daily. The whistle stop is .5 mile away and they do not seem very noisy and in fact they feel rather nostalgic. There is an abundance of wildlife, especially in the fall. You can see herds of elk, many different raptors, owls and we have even spotted bobcat. At the refuge there have been sightings of bear and mountain lion. We are a boutique farm and have three large pecan trees on site. We offer pecans Eggs and some greens when they’re available for sale. If interested please inquire. We allow pets but require an add for cleaning of $25.
