Penroc (Welsh Hideaways)
Penroc (Welsh Hideaways)
Description
Situated in a peaceful Welsh valley, this charming, 150-year-old miner's cottage has been fully refurbished and extended to include a lovely balcony and panoramic living area below. This dog friendly holiday cottage also has a terrace with bench and picnic table where you can sit outside and take in the breathtaking views across the Ystwyth valley. Penroc shares an internal sound-proof door with Ty Mari so the two cottage can be booked together (otherwise it is locked). The space Ty Mari and Penroc are set in a stunning landscape at the interface of wild mountains and wooded valleys where sheep farming, forests and mountain top views make this one of the most beautiful hidden secrets of Wales. These attractive 19th century cottages are on the outskirts of a tiny village called Cwmystwyth, situated 100 meters along a rough track from the main road. Cwmystwyth is seventeen miles inland from Aberystwyth along the mountain road to Rhayader. There are excellent walks through the beautiful scenery that surrounds the cottages that includes hilltops, waterfalls, woodland, forests, dams and caves. Guest access Guests have the whole holiday cottage to themselves. Access is by key safe for which the code will be provided. Other things to note There is no shower but there is a hand-held shower attachment on the bath taps. Beams and low ceilings may be an issue for tall people.
