Bride Valley Studio, Jurassic coast

Bride Valley Studio is a light, spacious retreat for 2, a perfect place for a romantic getaway. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, the studio is 6x5m with kitchen and sofa. Please ask in advance if you’d like the travel cot and high chair or if you need the single bed putting up. Studio is 15m from our house, screened by trees, with own entrance, patio and parking. This is a quiet spot with fields on 3 sides, a mile from Burton Bradstock, ideal for walking, cycling, relaxing and Hive Beach The space Our studio is a pet free, timber framed new build using natural materials and paints. At night there is almost no light pollution or noise. All the appliances and beds were new when the studio was finished in summer 2017 - including dishwasher and washing machine. Both beds have quality John Lewis mattresses. The kitchen is stocked for basic cooking with an oven, hob and a microwave. The lane has little traffic -watch for occasional tractors- it is fine to walk (or cycle) one mile into the village, where both pubs serve food and drink. Hive Beach, with its famous cafe, is a mile and a half away, either across the fields or via the village. The Parlour restaurant is 5 mins away at Bredy Farm. Guest access Please note due to steps the studio is NOT SUITABLE for people with limited mobility. Barbecue on private patio, Private parking, for one car, and entrance to studio. Maps and some board games provided, please ask if you’d like some more. We have our home EV charge point on our drive. This can be made available occasionally, if we’re not using it, at extra cost. Please ask. Nearest public EV charge point is at Bridport Leisure centre and Waitrose. Other things to note 3 Night minimum stay but 2 nights may be ok if booking late, please ask. Please note there are two big steps down into the studio from the bedroom level. This will pose a problem if you have mobility issues. There are steps from the parking area into the studio. The studio is NOT SUITABLE for those who find steps a problem. We have a rambling garden with veg beds and wild flower areas. A stream at bottom of our garden (50m away) could pose risk to unsupervised young children. As it is a very rural space the WiFi can drop out occasionally, especially in wet weather!
