Description
The space The flat occupies the second floor of a small stone-built 17th century house and is right in the picturesque medieval centre of Bracciano, on the lake Bracciano, 40 km from the centre of Rome. The flat is self-contained and consists of an open space with a cooking place, a dining table for four persons, one single bed and one double bed (140 cm wide) with ceiling fan and a little bathroom. There are two Windows, one of them overlooks a nice little place, the other one overlooks the lake. There is also a washing machine, and Wi-Fi connection. The house can only be reached on foot, but parking facilities are a few minutes away. Within a stone's throw from the house there is the "Belvedere della sentinella", a viewpoint with a wonderful vista over the whole lake. The famous Castle of Bracciano, which has daily conducted tours, is only a few minutes from the house. Bars, restaurants, pizzerias, shops and supermarkets are within easy reach. Ten minutes is the walking time required to reach the railway station. A metropolitan train leaving every half hour reaches Rome in one hour time, with various stops inside the town. The ticket, covering city transport and valid for the whole day costs 8 euros. The lake can be reached in a 15' walk but a shuttle service is available. A volcanic lake, Bracciano is one of the cleanest lakes of Italy, with plenty of fishes. Motor boating is not permitted. Two other characteristic villages, Anguillara and Trevignano, are also on the lake. On the lake side there are plenty of bars, restaurants and beaches. Rowing boats, canoes and pedaloes are on rental. Sailing and windsurfing can be practised in the existing clubs. There are quite a few maneges in the area. The train reaches Viterbo, a beautyful medieval town in 45'. Within a 20 km range there are many other natural, artistic and historical sites such as the etruscan necropolis of Cerveteri, the Stigliano spa, the protected area of Canale Monterano, the wood of Manziana, the sea... .
