"La Merlette" cozy room in a quiet pretty garden!

In the countryside, in the heart of the Loire castles, your private space: cozy room (new bedding 160 x 200), mezzanine, large bathroom with toilet, terrace... in an old renovated farmhouse, and its south-facing flower garden without neighbors, located in a small quiet hamlet, 2.5 km from our pretty village, and 15 km from the center of Tours (15 min)! Our welcome will be warm and discreet. We can share our good addresses and our taste for this beautiful region! The space [We leave a minimum of 48 hours between two reservations, which allows us to guarantee the cleaning and ventilation of the spaces you use. The part of the house that we are offering you is independent of our living areas. "] Old farmhouse, which we have been redeveloping for 5 years now, little by little, but with great pleasure! La Merlette is welcoming, lively and warm! Access to the bedroom and bathroom does not require crossing the ground floor and the "owners" area. You can access it independently through the garden and terrace, ideal for your breakfasts or aperitifs! The spacious bathroom is on the ground floor and the bedroom is upstairs, in a separate wing from the rest of the house. Your nights will be very quiet! Our house is not suitable for children (unsecured staircase and no extra bed). In the room, at your disposal, kettle, tea bags, coffee. Optional full breakfast (€7/pers. to be paid on-site) on request before your arrival. The kitchen and/or veranda are accessible for your free breakfasts: hot drinks available (coffee, tea, chocolate). Two good bakeries in the village 2.5 km away. For our cycling or motorbike friends, our closed barn is at your disposal. You will have shared access to the veranda, as well as to the garden with its relaxation areas (deckchair, hammock, barbecue,). Inflatable Jacuzzi in the garden in summer, subject to its commissioning and proper functioning at the time of your stay. On request, the kitchen can also be accessed to heat up a quick meal (microwave). A refrigerator is available outside the house in a small outbuilding. Very well located in the heart of Touraine, its vineyards ("Noble-Joué" 300 m away), and the Indre Valley, our house will be the ideal starting point for your walks: -to the center of the Châteaux de la Loire (Villandry and its gardens, Saché (Balzac Museum), Azay-le-Rideau, Amboise and the Clos Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci's house, Chenonceau, the gardens of Chaumont, Cheverny, Chinon... all between 25 and 50 minutes by car). - very beautiful classified villages nearby (Montrésor, Chédigny, Crissay-sur-Mance...) - Loire by bike and Cher by bike (15-minute drive from the house) - canoeing-kayaking on the Loire and Cher rivers - vineyards and numerous cellar tours (Vouvray, Chinon, Bourgueil, Touraine...) - many hiking trails nearby in the Indre Valley - The city of Tours (15-min drive) is a student city and steeped in history. Here you will find many sites to visit (Cathedral, Museums, galleries, Castle), old picturesque neighborhoods, bars and restaurants to relax and enjoy, even late at night. City combining festivities and savoir vivre! From May to September, you can reach the open-air café located in Tours on the banks of the Loire. Very lively, you can come and have a drink, dance, eat and enjoy the entertainment offered to the public (concert, cinema, games, initiations...). Two other open-air cafes, closer to us (10 minutes) are very pleasant in summer, one in Montbazon on the banks of the Indre, and the other in St-Avertin on the banks of the Cher. - Beauval Zoo 45 minutes away - Futuroscope Guest access We prefer to welcome our guests, but in case of occasional absence, you will have access to a key box. You can then be completely independent with a set of keys that we will give you. In addition to your private bedroom, mezzanine and bathroom-toilet, we also provide you with the sunny terrace and/or veranda depending on the weather. Shared access to the kitchen for your breakfasts, the garden, the veranda, the inflatable Jacuzzi (see "other remarks" for restrictions on its use). If necessary and if you spend several nights with us, you can use our washing machine. We can lend you two used mountain bikes that roll and brake! During your stay We have lived in Touraine for more than 20 years and will be happy to introduce you to our beautiful region: charming little corners, beautiful walks along the Loire, the Indre Valley, very pretty villages nearby, the historic city of Tours, restaurants, markets, etc.). Knowing that we both work, we won't always be available, but at least one of us will be there to welcome you and chat with you. We will also be discreet and respectful of your tranquility. Cyrille speaks English, but as far as I'm concerned, it's much more difficult!!! :-( Other things to note We have two cats who love company and who stand guard ;-). But they don't have the right to access your night space. The inflatable jacuzzi is not always available, as the water is drained regularly, and the heating time requires several hours, but if it is an important criterion for you, specify it in our exchanging with us and we will do our best to make sure you enjoy it!
