'Little Green' Off-Grid Shepherds Hut-Bath

🌱Hi🌞 Please read this info and look at all the photos before you book xx 'Little Green' is a totally off grid shepherd's hut . Made from locally grown and sawn larchwood and largely fitted out from locally reclaimed timber All electric is solar generated and all water is filtered ground water, (tested crystal clear by wessex laboratories). Compost from the toilet is used for tree planting on site. She is ideally suited for single travellers or couples and couples with children. The space Inside Little Green is a very comfy raised double bed. Below the bed is a pull out dining and games table. Either side of the table are two ' bench beds '. They are comfy but, be aware, only 60cm wide rather than full single bed size! You have a wood burning stove by the door . For Indoors refreshment you have a 5ltr container of freshly drawn water, some crockery and a one ring gas hob for hot drinks etc. At a 5mtr distance from the hut you have sole use of an outhouse with twin hob and grill , fully equipped kitchen, running water , washup area and hot shower . There is a stone fire pit for your private use outside the hut with grill rack and pans, guitar to borrow and wood to buy on site. A compost toilet, again for your private use, is situated 10metres up a slope to the rear of the hut Guest access Your parking place is 200mtrs from the hut and you'll carry or wheelbarrow your belongings that far down the field. Yours is the only hut in this first acre of land . Between car and hut there is plenty of space for children to run around if supervised. Beyond the hut , through the gate, our family home is a private area. It's great being so close to the city but, as a result, please expect significant noise from trains , and some noise from canal and road. Other things to note This is a low impact, low tech space. If you rely on hair dryers or microwaves then it's not for you but if you enjoy being close to nature then it is. We aim to preserve the tranquility of this site by keeping all music acoustic and quieting down after 10pm. with that in mind you can come and go as you please 24hours a day within your booked time. We run off 12 volt so, if you need to use the USB charging ports you should bring your car charger or usb lead for that device.
