A spacious home set in a generous garden in the heart of Porthleven offers the perfect base for a seaside holiday. Five minutes' walk from Porthleven harbour, the beach and numerous high quality restaurants are at your feet. Furnished with hand picked pieces we have sourced locally and ethically, from sustainable sheepskin rugs to cups crafted by local potters. From original artwork by Cornish artists to the steam bent lights, every aspect of this home has been thoughtfully curated. The space This is a classic Cornish seaside bungalow. Unexpectedly available for the summer, this is not your average newly renovated holiday cottage. Combining restored original floors with a retro kitchen and bathroom, we have embraced the character of the house. While the open plan living area feels modern, light and spacious, step in to the bathroom for a nostalgic moment! The kitchen is fully equipped, and here, as with everywhere else in the house, we have tried to think of everything you might need for your stay. Rather than rip out and re-do we have celebrated the character of the house and furnished accordingly. Guest access Set back from the road with a garden wrapping right around, the entire house and garden will be yours for your stay. There is building work next door as everyone tries to create their own home in this very in demand seaside location! Other things to note Parking is roadside, just around the corner. There are a few steps up from the road to the garden, but otherwise it is all on one level. We are just up the hill from the village, and it is only 5 minutes' walk from the harbour, but that is walking up a gentle hill! There is a sofa bed and we don't charge any more for additional guests but please let us know so we can provide bedding and towels. There is no TV, hopefully you won't even notice with the sea minutes away to gaze at! There is wifi in case of a rainy evening in.
