The quaint one bedroom cottage in the style of a dutch barn is located less than a mile, about a 15 minute walk or a few minutes drive from the popular village of Mumbles well known for its boutique shops, restaurants, castle and beaches. Set well back from the road, with off road parking, in a quiet location next to a small brook, the cottage has been finished to an exceptional standard. A balcony at the rear of the property gives you access to the patio and a peaceful area to relax in, with table and chairs and a brick built barbecue. The lounge has French doors that open up onto the balcony where you can listen to the relaxing sound of the birdsong and brook. A sofa bed in the lounge can be used as a double bed. (Children only) The shower room is elegantly furnished, wash hand basin, shaving point and WC. The kitchen has plenty of storage, an electric oven and hob, sink, microwave and fridge with ice box. Seating and table will accommodate up to four. The bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers, large fitted wardrobe and a wall mounted TV/DVD player. Secure private parking adjacent to the cottage. Gas central heating. Washer dryer. Free Internet access, both wired and wireless. Guests will find the location convenient for both Mumbles and the Gower and a great place to relax. Secure storage if you would like to bring your own bikes. Quality bed linen and towels provided. We offer a real home from home experience and look forward to welcoming you. NOTE: Unfortunately due to the size of the cottage, we do not accept more than 2 adults and 1 child at this property. Other things to note Swansea is Wales’ “City by the Sea” being perfectly situated on the edge of a five mile wide bay. Renowned as the birthplace of Wales’ greatest poet and playwright Dylan Thomas and home of the Dylan Thomas centre where his memory is kept very much alive. The City has world class cultural facilities and is a lively and vibrant maritime city and regional shopping centre, Swansea is home to Wales biggest indoor market where you can sample traditional Welsh delicacies like laverbread and fresh cockles from Penclawdd. Locally caught fresh fish can also be bought.
