"Sunflower Cycling" is a renovated, centuries-old stone and brick farmhouse that rests alone among sunflowers, wheat and woods high above the Ariège River--hiking and biking trails depart from the property. You don't have to ride (like the many Pros who often visit us) or even hike to be our guest, but why not? We're only twenty minutes (along a scenic river road) from the centre of Toulouse. The space The Guest Suite has been recently remodeled—everything is new from bath to bedroom. And that’s just the inside. The gardens and pool area offer spectacular, 180-degree views of the Pyrenees and the Ariège valley below. With no other homes in the area, stargazing can be phenomenal on a moonless night. Guest access You'll drive down our limited-access road for 355 meters--the last 200 meters are gravel. The road ends at our property. Ring the buzzer on the wall and we'll come out to greet you. You're also welcome to enjoy the garden and pool with a number of chairs and benches for relaxing and looking literally a hundred miles off in the distance. Other things to note Located on an isolated trailhead to the Ariège River, we’re perfectly positioned for Mountain Biking and Hiking. If you feel like “horsing around,” ask us about bringing your horse. The trail is maintained for horse riding and with prior notice we can occasionally accommodate horses.
