Historic Villa Morelli de Rossi

An authentic eighteenth-century villa with a large and enchanting park. Located in the tranquility of the Friulian countryside, it is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday with friends and family, away from everyday stress, and to discover the cultural and gastronomic particularities of our region. The space The villa, which has been owned by our family since 1823, overlooks the medieval village of the town of Manzinello, just a few kilometers away from Udine. On the ground floor of the house are the living room, dining room and a modern kitchen. On the first floor, which can be reached via a large staircase, there are six spacious and comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large frescoed salon. From the terrace of the latter you can look on the rows of our vineyards against the backdrop of the Julian Alps. A large park extends to the south of the house, surrounded by a row of oleanders and a pergola where you can sit and enjoy the silence and nature. A walk along the shaded avenue leads to a romantic Greco-Roman style temple, located at the end of the garden. The house has 6 bedrooms, and can accommodate a total of 12 people. Four bedrooms each have two single beds and two bedrooms have double beds. We provide bed linen and towels. The furniture is in style with the house, while the mattresses are obviously all new. The two bathrooms have bathtubs with curtains to be able to use them as a shower. The kitchen is modern and equipped with everything you need. Thanks to the thick walls, the house remains quite naturally cool even during the summer. Guest access All parts of the villa described above are accessible for guests. There is the possibility to park cars inside the villa, both in the garden and in a covered place. Please note: the villa is only available from may till september. Other things to note Whether it's a day at the beach or in the mountains or a city-trip, thanks to our central location there are many places of interest that can be easily reached. Starting just a few kilometers from the villa with cultural destinations such as Cividale, an ancient city of Langobard origin, Udine with its famous castle, Aquileia, one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, Trieste with its Hapsburg charm or Palmanova, a city with fortifications unique in the world and part of the UNESCO heritage. For those who want to dive into the cool waves of the Adriatic, there are also several possibilities, such as Grado, Lignano or Sistiana. The Alpe-Adria cycle path that goes from Salzburg to Grado is also located a few tens of kilometers from Manzinello and in recent years has become one of the favorite destinations for cycle tourists in Italy.
