Rosewall is a unique listed Arts and Crafts farmhouse built in the early 1920’s. The house is surrounded by our land and borders the National Trust Barrington Court. Ideal base for exploring the grounds or for venturing on foot or bike to the local pubs and beauty spots. Sleeps 8 across 3 double bedrooms (2 en-suite), and 1 twin. Relax; sit and gaze down the avenue of tulip trees; prepare a feast in the well equipped kitchen. 2 dogs on request. The space Upstairs on the first floor are the four main bedrooms, each of which has a commanding view of the avenue and National Trust parkland. There are 2 master bedrooms: one with a king size double bed and en-suite with shower; the other with a super king size antique oak bed with a bath and shower. There's a further king size double bed and a twin room, which share the family bathroom with bath and separate shower situated between them. Downstairs the reception rooms are decorated with original artwork and antiques. The old elm dining room table seats 10 easily; the room is warmed by a wood burner. Here you can enjoy meals prepared in our well equipped kitchen. The sitting room connects with the dining room through a pair of oak doors. Under the stairs there is an area for coats and hats; there's a wellie stand in the porch by the front door. The study has a huge comfortable sofa and the back wall is lined with books. Curl up to read or watch TV or choose to sit at the desk with its great view of the avenue and be creative. There's a laundry with washing machine and drier, as well as a fridge freezer, and a cloakroom by the back door. There's plenty to keep you active in the garage, which houses a table tennis table; table football; a croquet set and a darts board as well as a drinks' fridge. The outside table can be extended to seat 10 guests. The chairs are stacked in the garage near the charcoal barbecue. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house, with the exception of the two children's room on the top floor, which are locked. New fire regulations mean that these rooms cannot be used for the purpose of holiday lets. Other things to note We need advance notice if you would like to bring up to 2 well behaved dogs. Our rules are that dogs must stay downstairs and are not allowed on the furniture. We provide a water bowl and dog towels and request that you wipe off all mud and encourage the dog to shake outside. Please let us know if the dog causes damage.
