The space The lounge overlooking the garden beyond a large terrace , has comfortable settees. Smart TV with internet and satelite. Sliding doors open onto a terrace under a pergola and has bamboo chairs with comfy cushions for maximum comfort. The terrace looks onto your own large pool in a landscaped area with a glorious lawn. The garden and pool area is secluded with amply covered shaded area. For the cooler winter months, the villa has full central heating and a cosy fireplace. Three of the bedrooms on the first floor have original wood floors, while the new 4th bedroom on the ground floor has light coloured wooden parkett flooring. Rooms are adorned with Turkish carpets and kilims. All rooms have air-conditioning and ceiling-mounted fans. Each bedroom offers a glorious view of the ‘Five-fingers mountains and all have balconies with a mountian and/or sea views. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has an Ottoman style bay-window / divan suitable for lounging or sleeping for an adult or can be turned into a baby / child cot with a detachable front guard. Rooms are decorated with original paintings from all over the world. All windows and french windows are equipped with fly screens. Villa Papaya has a large fitted kitchen with a table that can seat up to 10 guests. In addition to the standard white goods, the kitchen is equipped with a water-cooler and microwave. For more formal dining there’s an 8-seater table in the living area. In the garden next to the pool there is a covered area with built-in barbecue, where you can enjoy dinner around a 8 seater table. Free Wi-Fi internet is provided throughout the villa. Linen and duvets for winter months, and towels, including for swimming pool are provided. The maid will clean and prepare the beds for your arrival; daily maid service and welcome packs provided upon request. The villa has always enjoyed 5-star reviews since 2017 when it was first let. While we clearly can not get more than a 5 star rating, we believe our guests will be even more comfortable with the addition of a new bedroom, installation of en-suite batrooms to all bedrooms and new double glazing, LED spot lights and LED bands throughout the villa. Villa Papaya also has many safety features such as fire extinguisher, fire blanket and smoke detectors. For child safety, we have railings around the swimming pool and can install safety gates upon demand for stairs inside the house. Getting here: You have a choice of flying to Ercan airport (North Cyprus) with a transfer time of 25 minutes. Alternatively, for a wider choice of airlines, fly to Larnaca or Paphos (South Cyprus) with transfer times of 90 and 120 minutes respectively. Airport transfers and car hire can be arranged upon request. Location: While the villa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, you are 10 minutes walking distance from the main road with lots of restaurants and cafeterias. You are only five minutes drive from the centre of Bellapais, a beautiful and historic mountain village from Venetian times, with unique shops and restaurants. Five minutes drive in the other direction takes you to supermarkets, bank cash points and Krenia town center. Kyrenia has a busy nightlife offering different cuisines, bars, clubs and casinos, all set against its stunning and unspoilt Venetian harbour. The lively harbour cafe area, the historic centre of Kyrenia, is just 10 minutes drive. In the harbour you can book boat trips on Gumbet-style wooden boats. The main turtle sanctuary of Alagadi is 15 minutes drive. Within 20 minutes drive is the amazing Korinium Golf course. Further afield is the Karpas peninsula nature reserve with its spectacular scenery. Historical places like Salamis or Soli ruins from ancient times, or Venetian city walls of Famagusta and Nicosia, with Ottoman kervansarays and Hamams await your discovery. Whether you like a beach holiday on popular beach resort with restaurants and water parks or a private beach where Afrodite may have discovered before you, or a more cultural holiday, Villa Papaya serves as an excellent centre point for all your activities.
