An traditional Cotswold house on the edge of ancient woodland, with views across the stunning Owlpen valley. Newly refurbished in January 2017, this home offers a chance to escape from the busy pace of life in the middle of nowhere. Farmhouse kitchen with dining table on the ground floor, along with a dining room with open fire & living room with country views. One twin room with adjoining bathroom on the ground floor and two further double bedrooms, plus family bathroom upstairs. The space The house is especially cosy - with paintings and antique furniture. It is set in a large walled garden, with a private terrace for al fresco dining. There are marvellous views over the Owlpen valley to the west, and the noise of owls hooting at night are replaced by songbirds in the daytime. Woodwells is set on the Owlpen Manor estate, with its 900 year-history and romance, in the most picturesque part of the Cotswolds. 2 hours west of London. Miles of private walks. The estate office deals with your wants and queries, bookings in the Cyder House Restaurant on the estate (prebooked only), servicing requirements and sightseeing suggestions. Friendly staff. The Cotswolds are one of England's best known touring regions of picturesque hills and villages, and this is the most spectacular part of it. Golf, gliding, riding, antique shops, historic houses and gardens nearby. But many visitors never leave the Owlpen estate, with its miles of footpaths and history. 2 hours from Heathrow Airport, 1 hour from Bristol. Stroud and Kemble stations. Suited for guests with limited mobility, with easy walking access and only a couple of small steps to access the property. Guest access The whole house is available to rent Other things to note Every cottage at Owlpen is child friendly, and there are lots of things for little explorers to do on the estate, whether it's building dens in the woods, meeting the farm animals or playing in the carefully tended gardens. We can provide additional accessories on request to help with your stay and limit the amount of child equipment you have to bring, such as toys, books, children's cutlery and dinnerware, and changing matts.
