Description

Nash Farmhouse is a secluded Farmhouse in the picturesque and tranquil area of Minwear near Narberth, Pembrokeshire. The area is popular for walkers and those wanting to explore. The farmhouse offers an attractive yet secluded accommodation for a large party of guests. The property has seven bedrooms to accommodate up to 14 guests. Whilst we can accommodate 14 adults, Nash is more suited to family groups. We usually allow up to 4 dogs inside the house and have outdoor kennel facilities. The space Nash Farmhouse dates back to the 16th century and was restored in 2020 to a high standard with simple furnishings for guests. The accommodation: Entrance Hallway, with access to: Kitchen - With electric oven & hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, large American style fridge freezer, coffee percolator, DAB radio. Dining area - With large dining table that sits up to 14 with two large benches and space for chairs at either end. The table is rather small for 14 adults and is more suited to a combination of adults and little ones. Please bare this in mind! (In the summer months, the outside table is very useful for larger groups as that does sit more people). Lounge - With Smart TV (Netflix and Freesat), comfy sofas, side tables, games for adults and children (Connect 4, Guess Who, Uno, Cards, Jenga and more!), DVD player. Downstairs toilet Bedroom 1 - Double bed Up backstairs to landing Bedroom 2 - Queen size bed (large single or small double) Bedroom 3 - Double Bed Shower room with WC, sink, heated towel rail. From entrance hallway: Bedroom 4 - Double bed & single bed (family room) Up main stairs to first floor landing Bedroom 5 - Double bed Bathroom, with separate shower, WC, sink and heated towel rail. Shower room with shower cubicle, WC, sink and heated towel rail. Up stairs to top floor landing; Bedroom 6 - Double bed Bedroom 7 - Double bed Outside: We have outdoor benches for guests to use to sit and eat outside. We have a charcoal barbecue for guest use (you'll need to bring your own charcoal supplies). The Slebech Estate is well known as a wild bird Estate shoot and as such has kennels for keeping dogs in if required. (N.B. Please bring your own padlock(s) if you wish to leave dogs in kennels unattended). Alternatively if you have inside dogs, then the kennels are ideal for drying of the dogs after a visit to the beach or a walk in the woods. The property has a pond to the front of the property. Please do not proceed beyond the warning signs. As a natural pond with wildfowl, it is not fenced and you must ensure children are not left unattended for their own safety. We have a large orchard in the rear garden and lawn areas around the house. You can also explore the meadow beyond the orchard from which there is a private path up to a public footpath. The Farmhouse has use of one of the farm barns which is available as a space to store bikes, kayaks, surfboards and outdoor gear. The barn is heated but is currently only available for basic storage. You can access some great nearby walks, directly from the property. The nearby Slebech Forest including Minwear Forest and Canaston Woods are the largest block of mixed woodland in Pembrokeshire extending to well over 1,000 acres. Original part of the Slebech Estate, most is now owned or managed by Natural Resources Wales (Forestry Commission for the Welsh Government) Canaston Woods is crossed by numerous paths, all of which make for enjoyable walking in this area of beautiful mixed woodland. The woods are bisected by the main path, the Knights' Way, an ancient pilgrim's route between St Davids Cathedral to the north west and Amroth on the south east coast of Pembrokeshire. The Knights' Way is at the heart of this walk, encompassing pleasant diversions to the medieval chapel of Mounton near the most southerly point of the woods and the nineteenth century mill at Black Pool on the western edge of the woods. The Mill is being restored by Bluestone and opens shortly as a heritage restaurant. There is so much to explore on your doorstep from Nash Farmhouse. Guest access The Farmhouse, grounds and meadow are available for guests, save for the barn (where you can store bikes, kayaks and other outdoor gear), the other traditional buildings are unfortunately currently out of bounds at the moment, but we hope to make them available to guests in the near future. You may use our private paths to access the network of public footpaths and bridleways. We do however ask you to refrain from walking off the paths on the farmland as Nash Farm is still part of a large working farm. Other things to note We offer a minimum of 3 nights stay and some 2 night stays on weekends, for longer stays of more than a week, please do contact us directly to check availability. Our preferred check in days are Friday but we can be flexible. For stays of longer than a week, there is a separate weekly cleaning fee, this ensures that you have a change of towels etc. Supplies: We provide some starter supplies for your stay including toilet roll, kitchen roll, teas, coffee, cooking oil, salt & pepper plus a welcome pack of milk, butter and other goodies. This is to get you going, but we are not a hotel so please bring some extra provisions for yourself otherwise there is a shop at the garage in nearby Robeston Wathen or local supermarket and convenience stores in nearby Narberth . Internet access & Wifi: Nash is a rural property that is served by 4G mobile broadband. It is intended for personal use rather than business use. The signal is adequate for on demand TV and streaming services but the bandwidth is limited to 50mbs by our service provider EE and our internal WiFi network limits individual users to 15mbs, this is to ensure that all guests plus the on demand television services have adequate bandwidth. We have recently upgraded the in-house Wifi system to improve connectivity through the house. Do contact us for further information. Dogs: We are a dog friendly host and Nash is ideal for canine adventures. Guests are allowed to bring a maximum of four dogs to stay in the house at Nash. Dogs are not permitted on the first floor accommodation or on the bedding or furniture. We currently do not charge extra for dogs, but depending on the size and breed of dog may levy extra fees, but this would be agreed before booking is confirmed. Please contact us for further information if you are bringing dogs. No dogs are to be left in the property unattended at the house unless they are crated or in the kennels. There are 4 outdoor covered kennels for accommodating dogs if required. Please bring your own padlock if you plan to leave dogs unattended. Do contact us if you have more than 4 dogs as we may be able to be flexible.
