Lupin Cottage in Gunnerside, Swaledale

Lupin Cottage is a character cottage nestled in the beautiful village of Gunnerside in Swaledale. Ceiling beams are exposed in all rooms and stone walls give the cottage it's traditional feel. There's a patio area to the front where you can sit and enjoy the views. With a large fireplace and stunning scenery over the countryside, this cottage is an ideal base to explore and enjoy all the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. Suitable for couples and families. The space Lupin Cottage has 8 steps to it's front door. The property sleeps 4 with 1 large double room and a bunk room which sleeps 2. You'll find outdoor seating in the patio area at the front of the cottage; a real sun trap with excellent views. Upon entering the cottage you'll be welcomed with an open living room to the left with substantial fire place, and dining area to the right. The cottage contains some vintage furniture to highlight its traditional past. To the right is the small but fully equipped kitchen with cooker, small fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a large fridge-freezer in the outhouse to store everything needed for longer stays. The living room has 2 large sofas, Smart TV, DVD player (plus a range of DVD's), and boasts stunning views of the hillside across the way. There is dining space within the cottage for 4, plus highchair if needed. The living room has an impressive stone fireplace with a multi-fuel stove. Unlimited coal for your stay is to be found in a bunker in the front yard plus kindling. Upstairs is the family bathroom with shower over bath plus the bunk beds and double room. The bunk beds are full singles and the room contains a wardrobe. Ideally this room is for 18's or under. The double room has a wardrobe, hair dryer, ironing facilities plus clothes airer. There is also plenty of space for a travel cot. There are beautiful views from the window. We also offer free, excellent WIFI throughout the cottage. There are lots of great walks straight from the door and only a couple of minutes walk to the fabulous Kings Head pub. Guest access You'll have access to all the space. Other things to note Pets: Well behaved and cleaned down dogs only (not upstairs please or on the furniture please) Parking: You can unload your luggage outside the cottage then park in the village or on the roadside. Heating: Provided is unlimited coal/kindling for the living room stove, electric storage heating in all rooms. Garden/Patio: Paved area to the front of the cottage with BBQ and furniture with lovely views. Gated steps to secure the patio. Short Breaks: Short breaks accepted all year round.
