10 minutes drive from the sea in an ancient village surrounded by olive trees,there is a nice 3-storeys elegant, freshly renovated cottage, for the exclusive use of guests with garden, great views, ideal base to visit the 5 terre. Car is recommended The space The small quiet village of Chiesanuova is situated on the hills at about 4 Km from Levanto, along the way from Levanto to Monterosso, that is the first village of the 5 Lands. It is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and Mediterranean scrubs. The origin of this village dates back to the Middle Ages: at the time people lived more likely on the top of the hills rather than by the sea. Nowadays only a few families live during the whole year in the village: they cultivate olive trees, vineyards and vegetables and sell their products. The house is just inside the little village and you can reach it walking up along a short stone lane. Cars can’t enter inside the village but you can leave them along the street in the free marked car parks. There aren’t any shops and in the little square there is the ancient church of San Nicolò that dates back to XI century . In front of it people meet in the evening to chat before going to bed: it’s a real paradise of peace. The three-storeys house has a typical yellow façade with an ancient stone portal. On the ground floor there is a hall, a nice twin bedroom with a large antique wardrobe and a small but very nice bathroom with shower. If you follow the stairs down you come to the white kitchen that is partly hidden by a small wall and then you come to the living-room. On the left hand side there is a nice sofa, on the right there is a table with chairs and a nice old chest of drawers. In the kitchen there is a fridge, a dish washer, a washing machine and an oven. From the living-room you can reach a large terrace where you can also eat. Going up the stairs, instead, you come to a large double room with a square covered terrace overlooking washing machine and an oven. Guest access The house is at complete and exclusive disposal of the host family. You can reach Levanto by car ( exit Carrodano on the A12 motorway) or by train. Pastine is connected to Levanto by car but also by a bus (three / four times a day depending on the season) or by taxi ( to book in advance). For those who love walking it takes 50 minutes to town center. To reach the 5 Lands the easiest way is the train ( 5 minutes train to Monterosso). But you can reach very quickly also all the art cities: Genova(80 km),Pisa(100km),Florence(160km).
