Sopchoppy River House, Forest with Beaches Nearby!

Simply Amazing vacation spot. Come see what our forest, river & nearby beaches have to offer. 2 private wooded acres on 400ft of the Sopchoppy River with staff near by. Just minutes from the beach. 75+ miles of paved off road bike trails & endless hours of kayaking (2 kayaks provided) located just outside our door. The stilt home has a large airy screen room facing the river giving you the feeling of being suspended in the forest canopy while listening to nature. The space The moment you pull up the sandy secluded circle drive you realize, just as we did when we purchased our home how special this vacation property really is. The stilts supporting the home along with interior features, like the custom designed spiral staircase leading to the Loft bedroom give a real modern day Robinson Crusoe treehouse feel for our guests with an overlook down to a living room area you could just melt in to. The beautiful faulted wood ceilings throughout the home just instantly relax you. Fully equipped kitchen for just about anything you would like to whip up from a batch of your favorite cookies to a seafood boil (large pot with strainer in bathroom closet). The large 4 burner gas grill on the outdoor deck with it’s river views never seems to have a lack of volunteers for grilling duty. Great breakfast bar area for hanging out around during dinner prep. We’ve taken to calling it the “Oyster Bar” but also a great work space if you must catch up with a few things. Just incase you forgot to bring a good book or game we may have you covered with an assortment of games & books to choose from. Just before heading out the patio door you will find a nook area where the sofa folds out to a queen size bed. The home’s interior seems to naturally draw you to the screened porch & multiple decks with spectacular views of the Sopchoppy River....a space where your sure to find yourself spending countless hours of relaxation. Guest access The entire home & grounds are yours to enjoy during your stay with us including the campfire ring (wood vendors nearby). Under the stilted portion of the home you will typically have access to 2 kayaks, 2 traveling beach chairs, cooler & fishing poles. You only need bring your favorite beach towels. Limited access to Washer/Dryer for long term guests otherwise laundromat nearby. Other things to note - For peace of mind some of our staff live nearby. - FSU in Tallahassee, FL: approx. 45 minute drive. - Please never have campfires on windy or very dry days. - Typically 2 Kayaks available otherwise Wilderness Way Rentals deliver for a fee (they have bicycles too). - Laundry facilities available for guests with month or more stay (restrictions apply).
