Fisherman House Kornati

In Kornati archipelago, on the island of Zut, Dragisina bay, very close to Kornati islands - National park, we offer you an old, but renovated house for vacation out of everyday stress, relaxation and enjoying, in a true contact with nature, sea, sun, waves, stone, seagulls, fish… with possibility to walk around the island, or looking for some nice bays to swim and take sun. In the past, people lived in the house most part of the year occupied with fishing, shepherding and olive growing. The space In the house there are two bedrooms with king size beds, a living room, kitchen and a bathroom. The house is equipped with basic utensils, usually handled manually as people who used to live there in the past (wooden stove switching on/off, oven, hot water heating in colder periods, charging tank for toilet, washing clothes, etc.) with addition of modern (solar electricity, fridge with 3 freezer drawers, gas oven, electric water pump, radio, internet, adapter for mobile phone charger). In the bathroom there is a bath tub, toilet and a sink, there is also an outside shower. In the front of the house there is a sea view terrace, a small harbor, a barbecue and a roof-top terrace with beautiful view. Water for cooking and the shower comes from a water-tank which is filled with a pump. Electricity is solar (12 V). Water and electricity must be used with reasonable care (no hairdryer, water heater, coffee machine, etc). Possibility to rent a small motor boat (5 meters long, 5 HS) to search surroundings. There are 3 restaurants nearby with fresh fish, a church and a Marina. You can walk around the island, up on the hill, taking swim, searching around nice bays by boat... Guest access The entire house is available just for you. Other things to note The boat transport is organized from Murter and it is paid additionally (Murter-Žut-Murter 200 € for up to 4 persons). The trip starts early in the morning when the sea is still calm (at 8 a.m.) and lasts about 1,5 hours. It is recomended to arrive to Murter at 7 a.m. so that you can buy fresh groceries from the market and fish market, to put the luggage and food to the boat and to park safely your car. You can also bring your favorite groceries with you. During the trip there is a possibility to see the dolphins. The parking for your car will be arranged in Murter in the public parking area (week price is 20 €). When arrived to Zut, we prepare the house for new guests, so we kindly ask for some patience until everything is ready (it could take to 2 hours). When we leave, we take old guests with us back to Murter. There is no market in the vicinity, so we can arrange delivery of groceries from Murter 1 time per week (depending on the weather conditions and availability of boats). There is a possibility to rent a small motor boat for driving around (45€/day + fuel spent, usually around 15€ for a week stay). We provide wi-fi connection, but please note it is not stable and not available in the whole house. If you need more GB for work, let us know to buy additional data on the card before arriving to Zut (to be paid additionally, 12€ for 7 days, unlimited use). The house has a wooden stove, so it can be used even on spring/autumn/winter. We can organize a trip to Kornati National Park and even olive picking in November. If you like to eat in the restaurants nearby (fish prepared immediately from the sea and other dalmatian-mediterranean specialties), bring enough cash (€) because debit/credit cards are mainly not accepted and internet connection is unstable.
