River View is a cosy, sympathetically restored cottage, full of original charm, dating back to the 1600s, but with all modern comforts, woodburner, and views over the Wye Valley. The space All our guests have loved our cottage, as it's cosy and comfortable and well equipped. The views from the main bedroom and the garden are beautiful, and we frequently have spectacular sunsets. Guests have their own private entrance into a hallway with a bench and coat pegs. The downstairs bathroom leads off the hallway and has a bath with shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating, which is on all year round except peak summer. Fluffy towels, loo rolls, shampoo, conditioner, soap and body wash are included. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and has table and chairs, fridgefreezer, microwave, dishwasher, hob and oven, Dolce Gusto coffee pod machine, filter coffee maker and cafetiere. We provide everything you need for washing up, teatowels and dishwasher tablets, and we also provide a few treats to help you feel welcome! The living room has full size double sofa, armchair and rocking chair and freeview smart TV with Chromecast. This means you can easily watch your own Netflix and Amazon accounts on the TV using your phone and no need for cables. Or you can sign in to your own accounts if you prefer. The cottage is heated by underfloor heating over the winter, but the woodburner provides heating the rest of the time. We provide a small basket of wood and kindling to start you off, then guests will need to buy their own. The single bedroom is downstairs, off the living room and has a small chest of drawers and hanging pegs. Upstairs (the stairs are steep, exposed and narrow) is the main bedroom, which has a double bed with feather duvet, 2 chests of drawers and a wardrobe. It has its own small balcony with bench-an ideal spot for a drink on a warm evening while the sun sets. Outside is a small, south-facing private patio garden with picnic bench. We don't provide a barbecue, but you're very welcome to bring your own. We keep chickens, but only hens so don't worry about noisy cockerels waking you up at the crack of dawn! You may find them wandering around the garden- they really are very friendly. We provide parking for one car. We welcome children, but it is not suitable for toddlers or babies. We live next door and are available if you need anything, but you also have complete privacy if that's what you prefer. Guest access The cottage is self-contained.
