The Conners - 2 bedroom, modernised fisherman's cottage

Description

At Conners Cottage, the sea is part of daily life. Waves break just feet from the door, while the Moray Firth stretches across your bedroom view. This 200-year-old fisherman’s cottage sits on the seafront in Gardenstown, one of Scotland’s most untouched harbour villages. Watch dolphins, seals and seabirds from the window, smell woodsmoke in the lanes, and enjoy renowned fish and chips moments away. A place that feels wild, peaceful and truly away from it all. The space Conners Cottage comfortably sleeps four guests across two bedrooms. The master bedroom upstairs has a king bed with quality linen and views across the waterfront toward the beach. The second bedroom has a clever pull-out day bed that converts into a full double — perfect for two guests or friends travelling together. The bathroom has a modern walk-in shower — perfect for warming up after a day on the coast. Downstairs, the living area is centred around a traditional wood-burning stove. There is something genuinely special about sitting here on a wild evening with the fire lit and the sound of the sea outside the window. A fully fitted kitchen and dining area has everything you need to prepare meals using the excellent local produce available along the Aberdeenshire coast — fresh crab, smoked salmon and langoustines are all within easy reach. Guest access Guests will have full private access to the entire cottage during their stay. The Conners is a fully self-contained property, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the space at their own pace. The cottage includes a private living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms exclusively for guest use. The coastline and harbour are only a short walk from the cottage, providing immediate access to coastal walks, beaches and wildlife watching along the Moray Firth. Other things to note The cottage sits directly on Seatown — the famous row of fishermen's cottages built at the water's edge in Gardenstown. At high tide, waves reach the base of the harbour wall outside your door. In winter storms the sea is a dramatic and unforgettable presence. Many guests come specifically for the wild weather — there is nowhere quite like it on the Scottish coast. Bottlenose dolphins are regularly spotted from the cottage window. The Moray Firth is home to one of the most accessible bottlenose dolphin populations in Europe, and the waters directly in front of the cottage are a favourite feeding ground. Seals, porpoises and a wide variety of seabirds are visible year-round.
