Poppy's Pad

Set on the Brecon canal "Poppy's Pad" is a new modern luxury studio apartment with a private entrance set on the canal bank and is located above a community pub which welcomes families, dogs and couples. It has a large living area valued ceiling, king bed, sofa bed and full kitchen. A separate luxury bathroom with a walk in shower completes the space. The apartment over looks the hills and town of Risca which can be seen from the two Juliet balconies. It does not have a separate bedroom. The space The pub The Prince of Wales Inn is over 100 years old and is set on the canal bank. The main bar has an open fire and live music during the weekend. The new lounge is more contemporary and serves Sunday lunch. Guest access In Risca town there is a local train link to Cardiff our Capitol City, which ideal for shopping, eating out, concerts and of course, rugby at the Millennium Stadium. The station is around 10 mins walk from the accommodation and has free parking. Other things to note We offer an additional service of providing fresh delicious grazing platters by request, just pop our host Marie a message before your trip. Poppy's pad is situation on a pretty canal bank road, accessed via Dixons Place. Drive to the far end of Dixon's Place road and take a right turn up a hill towards a small canal bridge turn directly LEFT before the bridge and follow the canal side road to the Carpark. Please note the property consists of a King size bed and a double sofa bed. It does not have two separate bedrooms. Poppy's pad is located above a small pub. We host live music mostly on a Saturday night which finishes at 11.00pm. We also offer Fish and Chips ever Friday 1.00pm until 5.30pm with our home made batter and tartar sauce, the pub gets quite busy in the summer and especially on bank holidays so be sure to book.
