Do you need a break from the stress of the hectic urban life? This countryside hidden gem is the ancient farm of the Chateau de Villemonteix and it's surrounded by lakes, rivers, forests, fields where you will only find peace and quietness. Our charming restored farmhouse offers two gites, with a bed & breakfast in an atmosphere full of charm and hospitality. Our peaceful paradise will seduce you with its relaxing location and facilities, such as a heated swimming pool. The space The “Bergerie” - 2 bedrooms – 4 people (possible more with extra matress on request) • Ground floor: o Entrance hall o Conservatory & utility room (washing machine, tumble dryer) o A modern, fully equipped kitchen o Dining/living area with wood-burning stove o Bedroom with double bed o Shower room with walk-in shower, washbasin and separate toilet o Winter garden/veranda • 1st floor: o Bedroom with double bed o Privative bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet o A sitting area with armchairs, coffee table and sofa • Outside: o Wood and grass terrace o Table garden o BBQ o Garden Guest access There is a heated pool available from Mid May to end of september .The pool is shared with another house Other things to note The « extras » at Mont Gapier • 44 hectares of fields , meadows, woods, lakes and paths where you will be in the heart of unspoilt nature, surrounded by the animals of Mont Gapier, the more or less domesticated ones, cows, calves, bulls, dogs, cats, hens, chicks, roosters, donkeys from time to time and others that are less so (owls, coypu, roe deer, hinds, wild boars, etc.). • An 11x4m swimming pool, normally heated to 27 degrees, from May to October (dates may vary, so don't hesitate to check with us), surrounded by a lovely wooden terrace. • A pétanque court in Grand-Maman's orchard is also available to all Mont Gapier residents. • A tennis table, a badminton set, a croquet set, etc... • A few bikes are also available to help you explore the local paths and byways. • You can also take advantage of our hut by the pond, where you can organise a barbecue, picnic or aperitif, and even take a refreshing siesta after a spot of no-kill fishing with the kids... • We also have Joseph's Kitchen Garden, where you can watch the vegetables growing. Joseph, an epicurean and gardening enthusiast, Emmanuel's grandfather passed on his love of nature and gardening to him.
