The space Nestled in a breathtaking location overlooking the loch and the majestic Cuillin mountains on the Isle of Skye, our property is just a short walk from the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. We take pride in maintaining the house to a high standard, ensuring it offers a comfortable, warm, and welcoming environment for our guests. The lounge features an Aga wood-burning stove and a stunning view of the loch, along with a 40-inch Smart TV, super-fast Wi-Fi, and cosy electric reclining sofas—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. In the inviting dining room, you’ll find an oak dining table and chairs, a Bluetooth speaker, and a selection of books, board games and DVDs for your entertainment. Our modern, spacious kitchen is fully equipped to meet all your cooking needs, boasting ample worktop space, a built-in electric oven and hob, a Nespresso coffee machine, a full-size dishwasher, an under-counter fridge, a washing machine, and a freezer located in the utility area. The bathroom includes a bath with an overhead electric shower and a small selection of toiletries for your convenience. The property includes gated private parking and secure shed storage for up to four bicycles at the back, along with an outdoor drying line. The heated drying room in the utility area is perfect for drying your outdoor gear after a day of cycling or hiking the numerous trails and Munros in the vicinity. With warm central heating throughout and some smokeless fuel supplied for the Aga stove, the house is wonderfully cosy. The enclosed garden area features comfortable outdoor seating with views of the castle and loch, as well as a picnic table at the front. It truly is a home away from home in one of the prettiest villages in the area away from the hustle and bustle of Skye just a 10 minute drive away. Nestled near Scotland’s iconic Eilean Donan Castle, Dornie is perfectly positioned at the confluence of Loch Duich, Loch Alsh, and Loch Long. The A87, the main route to the Isle of Skye, is conveniently located just outside the village, making it easy to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Skye, Plockton, Applecross, and Glenelg. Nature lovers will appreciate the abundance of outdoor activities right at your doorstep. Discover scenic trails for all levels, including the stunning Five Sisters of Kintail, the South Shiel Ridge, and the breathtaking Falls of Glomach. Please note that our house is strictly non-smoking and we do not accommodate pets. Additionally, due to insurance regulations, we cannot permit external charging for motorhomes or electric vehicles.
