Rent one or two rooms in this spacious full scribe log home with open floor plan, cathedral ceilings and wrap around porch. Each room has one queen bed. There are acres of fields and woods for hiking and snowshoeing. Enjoy fresh vegetables or berries in season. Use of kitchen and common areas for cooking meals. Well behaved dogs welcome. See house rules. This is rental of rooms not the whole house with use of common areas. Brad and I live in the house also. A warm, inviting space, this full scribe log home sits on ten acres of rolling Vermont hills and offers an open floor plan and cathedral ceiling. French doors open onto a wrap around porch, inviting you to linger on the porch swing, where you can breathe the fresh air, listen to the bird songs, and gaze at the quiet countryside. Back inside, make your way upstairs to the loft area to enjoy mountain vistas through the second story windows, or look to the living room and brick hearth below. Guest rooms open onto a small, shared balcony; a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. Guests are encouraged to use the common areas of the house and grounds. Indoor access includes the living room, dining room, kitchen, TV room, laundry facilities, and exercise equipment. Outdoor areas offer a variety of seasonal recreational opportunities. Enjoy an extensive network of trails for hiking or snowshoeing, take a leisurely stroll through the perennial gardens, or simply relax by the fire pit. Late summer guests are encouraged to pick blueberries and gather fresh vegetables from the garden. Staying in the winter? Bring your snow gear and a sled! We have two rooms available for rent but will only rent to one party at a time with a maximum of 4 guests. Nightly posted fee is for the first guest. If you book for 2 guests and let me know that you plan to share one room and one bed I will refund you $10/ night. Quiet time after 10 pm. Brad works full time but I am usually around part of the day and available by text or phone (as long as I am in service area) for questions. Coffee is on early in the morning , assorted teas also available. I always love a good conversation but totally understand if you want to stay to yourselves. Our house sits on 10 acres on a gravel road, but it is less than 5 miles from Interstate 89. Friendly neighbors abound, sharing in the creation and use of the trails, and giving a friendly wave to people passing by. While central Vermont is a great place for biking, unless you are an avid cyclist, you will need a vehicle. The gravel road is well maintained, but four or all wheel drive is strongly recommended in the winter months and during mud season. Did you know that Vermont has 5 seasons! Only well behaved dogs allowed. No other animals. Must contact me if you plan to bring one. Dog are not allowed on furniture or beds, They must be house broken and I also expect you to be in control of your dog at all times which means if you plan to leave the premises and leave your dog behind it must be crated. Must be on leash outside if not able to respond to commands since I have chickens (fenced but sometimes free ranging). 4 wheel or all wheel drive with good clearance required until mud season is over.
