Cottage in rural North Shropshire

A well presented one bedroom cottage 3 miles north of Wem and 6 miles south of Whitchurch in the beautiful North Shropshire countryside. Piggery Cottage sleeps 2 plus 1 (double bed and small sofa bed) and sits adjacent but separate to the owners home. Bookings start with a minimum of 2 nights and stays for longer periods are also welcome (discount applied). The space Piggery Cottage sits adjacent but separate to the owners property in a large plot of around 3/4 acre which is bordered on two sides by fields. It is comprised of one large living room with kitchen area and double bedroom with en suite shower room. The living room has sofa bed (single), dining table and chairs, TV, DVD player, board games and WiFi internet access. A selection of DVDs are available to borrow on request. The kitchen area has a single electric oven and hob, under the counter fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle and toaster. The bedroom has a standard 4ft 6 double bed and clothes storage and en suite shower room with toilet, basin and electric shower. Heating is by electric heater in all rooms, included in rental charge. Linen and towels are also included. Guest access There is ample parking in front of the cottage. Please note EV charging using the cottage’s electrical supply is prohibited. At the rear of the property is a small screened, graveled patio with table and chairs. Visitors are welcome to use the owners garden beyond which includes a large lawn which dogs enjoy. Piggery cottage has been converted with people with mobility difficulties in mind. Contact us for further details. Other things to note Maximum occupancy for comfort is 3 people, using the sofa bed in the living room. The sofa bed when converted to a bed is 3ft 9 wide so could be used by two children or parent and child sharing. Please let us know when booking if you would like to take advantage of this. Please note access to the bathroom for the 3rd guest is via the double bedroom. The price is based on 2 people sharing the double bed with an additional guest charge automatically applied if the booking is for 3 people (additional bedding/towels charge). If you are a party of 2 people but wish to use both the bed and sofa bed please let us know at the time of your request to ensure additional bedding and towels are booked. Check-in on the arrival day is usually 3pm, with check out at 12.00 midday on the day of departure. However please let us know if you have any special requirements and we will do our best to accommodate them. The electric supply to the cottage is suitable for normal domestic appliances but cannot support the charging of EV vehicles. Charging of electric vehicles is therefore prohibited. There are EV charging stations at Wem Business Park (Cedar Close) which offers Fuuse network chargers, including fast chargers with up to 180kW capacity and there are other charging points nearby that can be located on one of the EV location websites.
