Visiting Crater Lake National Park? Stay in our home on the Williamson River! Private dock to launch kayaks, canoes, SUPs, trout fishing or just take a swim. Wildlife watchers welcome: otters, eagles, swans, geese, ducks ... Enjoy views from the wrap-around deck, oversized windows and sliders of this clear, beautiful river. Modern kitchen with service for up to 10 people with all the amenities of home. Two bedrooms, a game room and loft. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The game room has a queen-sized sofa bed. The loft has a queen-sized futon. Please note: to access the loft, you must climb a ladder (see photos). Two full bathrooms, each bathroom is equipped with fluffy towels, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel. Easy parking for multiple cars. **Important to pick up groceries before arriving in town. The two local markets are limited. There are several restaurants in town, also limited. Kla-Mo-Ya Casino and Restaurant is 6 miles away. **Please note: there are active train tracks across the river, a 1/2 mile from our home. **We now have CenturyLink wifi!!! For other inside entertainment, we have added (and will continue to add) DVDs, card and board games, puzzles, books and PS3 (in the loft). You will have access to the whole home, located on three riverfront acres. There is parking for 2-3 vehicles comfortably off the road. We use an electronic keypad for the duration of your stay. You do not need to download an app for this feature. Please bring (or rent) kayaks and/or stand-up paddleboards. It is fun to paddle around the river. It's a "lazy river" and fun to paddle down or up river! There is room to store your gear safely on the deck or directly underneath. Consider contacting Sky Lakes Wilderness Adventures to book all sorts of local fun--they will also deliver kayaks to our house for your stay. We are available by cell/text with two local contacts. Self-check in. Alarm system/code will be given just prior to check-in. CHILOQUIN: is a tiny tribal town (Klamath Tribes: Klamath, Modoc and Y****skin (Airbnb won't allow the proper spelling of the tribe)--see the books on the shelves in our kitchen). Although small, there is a community here that is quite special. Be sure to check out Wright's Hardware, the wonderful community center and library, the Two Rivers Gallery (featuring local artists) and the local markets and restaurants. Drive beyond the high school and you will meet with the Sprague River. Or, take a drive on Sprague River Road for more of Sprague River and the town with the same name. We use the Williamson River year round from the house. Because the river flow is mild, we are able to paddle a kayak, canoe or SUP in either direction. The water is so clear it looks like you are flying. Good luck fishing, since you can see them so clearly (Red Band Rainbow, Brook and Brown Trout), you know they can see you! There are hundreds and you can even see them from the shore. CRATER LAKE: The southern entrance of Crater Lake National Park is 20 miles/30 minutes from the house. The southern entrance is open year round. FORT KLAMATH: on the way to Crater Lake, you will drive through this cute town with a museum and beautiful scenery. FREMONT WINEMA STATE PARK: tons of trails, we love it here any time of year. Experience a bit of the Pacific Crest Trail. KIMBALL STATE PARK: Headwater of the Wood River with gorgeous views and unbelievable Caribbean Blue waters. Bring your kayak/SUP or book a trip with Sky Lakes Wilderness. TRAIN MOUNTAIN RAILROAD MUSEUM: About 5 miles from the house towards the Casino is this gem. COLLIER MEMORIAL STATE PARK and COLLIER LOGGING MUSEUM: Great bits of history here and where the Spring Creek and Williamson River meet (and a good place to view otters). CHILOQUIN STATE AIRPORT 2S7: Located at the corner of 97 and Chiloquin Boulevard, just minutes from our house. BEND/MT. BACHELOR: An easy two-hour drive north on 97 gets you to Bend. A few cool stops along the way and tons to do in Bend. KLAMATH FALLS: 30 miles/35 minutes south on 97 will get you to the Klamath County Seat and your general shopping needs as well as the home of Oregon Tech. You will need a vehicle to get around. ASHLAND: 80 miles/1 hour 45 minutes MT. SHASTA: 110 miles/2 hours PORTLAND: 250 miles/4 hours 15 minutes Grocery and dining options are limited.
