Description
This renovated bungalow offers the perfect mix of a 30 minute drive to Downtown Louisville with a natural escape to river views, hiking, mountain biking and paddling access at the mouth of the Salt And Ohio Rivers. The Pearman Trail is steps from the front porch, just across the railroad tracks, and leads to the public boat ramp, Historic Civil War Fort Duffield and the 7 miles of hike/bike trails which surround it. Explore the towns many National Historic Registry buildings. The space The entire house is yours, with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms on the first floor and a loft with sleeping space and living area on second floor. The large back deck offers wonderful views of the Mouth of the Salt River and the Ohio where you can relax and watch the barges making their journey. The front porch is a great place to enjoy the sun coming up with a cup of coffee. Also, train enthusiasts will enjoy sitting on the front porch and watching trains that have just come across the Salt River bridge. Guest access Guests have access to house and yard, plus the public trail just 50 feet from the front porch which leads to the other hike/bike/natural areas, boat ramp, and the Civil War Fort Duffield. It’s a three block walk to Ohio riverfront at 4th and Elm. The neighbor’s property beyond our rear yard is not for river access. Other things to note Dixie Highway separates the residential town from natural areas, but the new rustic Pearman Trail cuts below the highway bridge to allow a connection to the boat ramp area and then on about 1 mile to mountain biking, hiking trails and the civil war fort. The Tioga Falls and Bridges to the Past trails are a few miles away.
