St Minver Cottage is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, with free street parking. It's a comfortable traditionally furnished cottage style home just a few mins walk to the beach with sea views of Hampton Bay and Thames estuary, and the most amazing sunsets. The double guest room is located on first floor is bright n sunny, as east facing, at front of house. We offer tea or coffee on arrival and a complimentary continental breakfast from 8am- 10am. Bicycle hire available from host or FREE storage. The space Located in the quieter Hampton Pier area of Herne Bay we are only 3 minutes walk to the beach and 10-15 minutes walk along the beach hut promenade to the main town centre and seafront, the Clocktower, The Bandstand, Kings Hall, arcades, the Pier Platform attractions and numerous cafes and restaurants. From Hampton pier you have uninterrupted views across the Bay towards Whitstable, Isle of Sheppey and the Essex Coast with Southend-on-Sea often visible on the horizon. We are well served by local Stagecoach buses making it easy to travel to the ancient walled Cathedral City of Canterbury and the quaint harbour fishing town of Whitstable, both of which are also approx 10-15 minutes drive by car. A seawall beach walk and cycle path links Herne Bay to Whitstable via Swalecliffe creek nature reserve. If you require overnight storage of your bicycle, this is available on request. Guest access Check in is by mutual arrangement with host from 12 noon up to 22.00 usually. During your stay I work from home so am available throughout the day should they need assistance or advice. I am a Herne Bay native so have a wide knowledge of the Kent area and its amenities and attractions. Other things to note A welcoming cup of tea or coffee available on arrival.
