Idyllic Cotswold coach house
Idyllic Cotswold coach house
Description
This special property sits in the grounds of an historic Cotswold house, immersed in the beauty of an inspiring landscape. The Coach House, with its unique character, is spacious, cosy, comfortable; and a great place from which to explore. Perfect ! The space The house is very spacious while remaining cosy and really embraces its guests! Roses climb around the old stable door entrance, and the rustic dream in summer is complete when scent filled balmy breezes drift inside. Divine ! The hall and kitchen retain the original terracotta coloured brick floor, and the large eat-in kitchen boasts an antique trestle table that can seat 8-10 people. (If you don't want to do the cooking, excellent local catering is on hand.) There is a dishwasher and washing machine, microwave, hob and oven in the kitchen. The old coach doors open onto the terrace, and garden, where meals can be enjoyed al fresco amongst the birdsong. A cosy snug with TV and wood burning stove leads off the kitchen. There is a second open plan sitting room/study, with window seat overlooking the village lane, and a small conservatory leading off. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a king size bed, cosy with quilts and soft pillows dressed with luxury cotton bedding, and there is one bathroom. The shower room is on the ground floor. Wherever you are in the Coach House you will be reminded, in the most intriguing and delightful of ways, of its former life ! Guest access The entire space is available save for an unused drawing room leading off the conservatory. The Coach House has its own garden. The Big House garden is private and not for guests' use. However the tennis court (OK but not brilliant surface - used at own risk ) can be available upon request. Other things to note The Coach House overlooks its own garden for guests' use, and looks towards main house gardens and grounds which are private. On its other side it overlooks the village lane. There is a very small volume of village traffic.
