Workshop-cottage in the heart of Limousin

A break like a parenthesis in the heart of Limousin. For a weekend, a week or more, alone, as a couple, with friends or family, artists in residence… come and stay at the workshop-gîte du préau, in the granite building dated 1886, completely renovated by the owners, Vincent interior designer and Marie-Anne artist. The buildings are part of an authentic country environment at the gates of Limoges, St Junien, Oradour-sur-Glane, Rochechouart, Vassivière... The space You will enjoy the privileged view of the meadows and trees, the valleys and sheep, the light of the end of the day on the terrace. The calm will seduce you. Southwest-facing house. Cottage capacity: 2 to 14 people. Main Floor: 39 m2 living room with fireplace, opening onto the terrace. TV, DVD player. Open kitchen with induction cooktop, oven, range hood, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machines, dishes. Office, cloakrooms, linen (washer and dryer, ironing board, steam iron) Toilet with hand basin 1st floor: three 11 m2 bedrooms with 2 beds of 80 by 200 (160 combined). 2 shower rooms. 2 separate toilets with hand basin folding crib available on request. 2nd floor: 35 m2 dormitory under the roofs, exposed framework, with 6 mattresses of 90 x 190. Possibility of an additional independent bedroom on the ground floor of the workshop. Large 160 bed, fireplace, small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Exterior: a courtyard parallel to the house allows you to have your meals sheltered from the sun or rain, to paint, draw or play (at your disposal: foosball table, ping-pong table). A pétanque court is set up on one of the terraces overlooking the valley. A zip line is sure to appeal to children. The artist's studio has all the equipment (easels, brushes, colors, clay...) it can be opened for free use (extra charge) Marie-Anne can also offer you a 2-hour or one-day course, to introduce you to the different techniques of plastic arts, at your convenience (drawing, ink, watercolor, oil, acrylic, collages, earth) The place has been renovated respecting the constituent elements of the old building and the environment. (hemp and linen thermal insulation, lime plaster, ecological sanitation by phyto-purification, filtering reeds...) New mattresses and bed bases. Bed linen and towels provided. Non-smoking cottage for everyone's comfort and health. No pets allowed. Guests are requested to arrive after 4pm. Checkout requested at 11am. Flexibility nevertheless possible... We would like to apologize to people with motor disabilities, the traditional configuration of the buildings could not be modified and adapted to allow them to be accommodated. Rental for the weekend possible (2 nights minimum), please don't hesitate to contact us. Guest access the cottage is served by a private alley that only serves the cottage, you can park several vehicles without worry.
