Sunset House is a family run bed and breakfast. We have 3 bedrooms, sleeping 10 people all together. We have a suite for 6 people with a double bed, upper and lower bunkbeds and a double bedroom and small lounge We also have a ensuite that sleeps 4 people with a double bed, a single bed and pull out bed. In the price is included a substantial buffet breakfast taken at your leisure. Tea and coffee is available. There is a sitting room with Large TV. We are situated in the Department of Limousin, on the outskirts of the market town of Magnac Laval. With lovely gardens. Wi Fi internet connection available in the bedrooms at no extra charge A substantial and varied breakfast is served at your convenience in the morning which is included in the price unlike hotels in France! English breakfast is extra 8 euros. An ideal stopover between the ferry ports and Frances South coast and Spain. As we are situated 10 minutes from junction 23b on the A20 motorway, the main motorway heading to the South, Spain and Portugal. Great if you want an overnight stay without the worry of getting lost in a major city like Limoges, although only 1/2 hour Drive to Limoges means you can be in the city very quickly for a meeting etc. We pride ourselves on serving wonderful fulfilling eat as much as you want breakfast and fabulous evening meals and BBQs on request before booking several days in advance We have four bedrooms to let in this family run chambres d'hotès. Unlimited free hot drinks and fruit available in the dining room throughout your stay. A double room. One family room for 4 people. The double room has a bathroom next to it and so does the family rooms Rooms available with a small lounge/dining room and full use of the main Lounge and dining room ( Sky TV and netflix) Sunset House is child and animal friendly Freshly cooked evening meals made with local ingredients on request before booking BBQ available on request in the summer There is a Patio area to the front of the house for Al-Fresco dining and evening drinks and watching the wonderful sun set. The house has private parking the rear in the large garden which has a sun terrace with loungers and BBQ. Fishing permits are available at the local shops and bars for the nearby lake and river Brame. Limousin is an area full of historical and natural interest. The property lies in a rural area surrounded by open countryside and several small villages and medieval towns of Le Dorat, Bellac,Chateauponsac, Montmorollon and Poitiers there is Futuroscope (3/4 hr drive) Limoges (45 min). Close by is the beautiful Lac de St Pardoux and le lac de mondon with its beaches and camping and restaurants,swimming pools water slide, wind surfing and Boating /pedalos. Most towns in the region have some historical interest, none more so than Oradour sur Glane which was destroyed by Nazis soldiers in 1944 and remains today as a monument to its former inhabitants 40 minutes Away . Not far away is the Kayak centre of france at Lathus, Horse racing takes place at Le Dorat, and La Rochefoucauld boasts a Grand chateau and chocolate factory, both worth a visit. Magnac Laval itself has a supermarket, two pharmacies, one boulangeries two hairdressers four bars most serving meals, a bank, a post office and various other shops. There are several good French restaurants in the local area for dining out. Guest access There is free public parking 15 meters away next to a children's park It is extremely safe and risk free. If you don't want to use the public car park, you can use our private garden to park your car.
