The space Short House Chesil Beach is a Purbeck stone and render cottage, part of the Long House small private country estate, with 200m of frontage onto Chesil Beach in the centre of Dorset's World Heritage Jurassic Coast and surrounded by National Trust farmland; the perfect place for an English seaside holiday or a weekend getaway in one of the most beautiful parts of England. The house has recently been completely re-fitted with a large open plan living/dining/kitchen open to the eaves, 2 double bedrooms, both with sea views, and 2 ensuite limestone tiled bathrooms with roll top baths, one with a drench shower, the other with a hand shower. The lights of Lyme Regis twinkle in the distance after the sun sets over the Devon coastline and Golden Cap; the highest point on the south coast. The high ceilinged dining & sitting room has bright kilims, oak floors & purple doors, dimmable lighting, bold canvases, piles of books & DVDs The kitchen has a; fridge freezer, fan oven, grill & microwave, hood extractor fan, dishwashing machine (tablets provided), double sink, plenty of pots, pans, sives etc, crockery, cutlery, glassware (generally 8 of everything), cooking knives, blender & juicer. The living space has oak plank floors, comfy furniture with proper squashy cushions, a 43" large Sony Bravia smart UHD TV with Sky Q, including Sky Sports, Movies, Box Sets, Kids etc, a DVD player (with loads of DVD's, including 'Chesil Beach' of course), Bose Sound Dock and very comfortable furniture, Easy to control central heating system, with a Hive gizmo thermostat control The two double bedrooms with ocean views both have king size beds: 6ft 6" (198cm) long x 5ft 4" (162.5cm) wide. Instant hot water is from a Combi boiler; i.e. on all the time. Plenty of decent size fluffy towels (6 in each bathroom), and beach towels, buckets and spades. Guest access Guests have direct access across the field leading 400m down to Chesil Beach and miles of beautiful coast and country walks. The tennis court is freely available to guests, and, if you want to bring your horse(s) on holiday and enjoy fantastic riding along the coast, stables and grazing can be made available. From the kitchen garden in the summer and early autumn we often have surplus home grown veg which we are happy to make available to guests; just ask. Other things to note There is a washing machine/tumble dryer. iron and ironing board. A carpeted attic space with limited headroom can be used as additional bedroom space for two, by arrangement. It should be noted that the attic space is not building control compliant as a bedroom, and therefore a liability waiver is required if it is to be used.
