Unique stay on the water, close to Amsterdam

Original stay on board an authentic clipper (1898) in the charming harbourtown Monnickendam. 15 minutes from Amsterdam by car or public transport. Combine a citytrip in this metropolitan city with a stay in the beautiful rural area of Waterland with its famous attractions like Volendam, Marken and Edam, just to mention a few! The space You sleep in the 'roef', the little house on the back of the ship, where the skipper and his family used to live back then. Nowadays we use the ship to sail with groups of people for daytours on the IJsselmeer during our high season. The 'roef' has been transformed into a nice and cosy place for you to stay. During your stay the ship won't sail and is docked in the harbour of Monnickendam. Guest access You have private access to the 'roef'. It includes a small living room with large windows overlooking the water. The kitchen area is also in here and has induction cooking, a small refrigerator, a nespresso coffeemachine and all the kitchen utilities you will need. There is a toilet and shower. Towels are provided. Also we have central heating on board. Downstairs are two separate bedrooms. One bedroom with a double bed and the other one has two large single bunk beds. And of course you can sit outside on the spacious deck of this 32 meter long ship. Other things to note Please keep in mind that you are staying on a ship. The bedrooms are reached by a fixed ladder (see pictures), which is not advised for people who have difficulties walking. Also, watch out for your children in the vicinity of the water. We have lifevests available for them.
