A Cosy Nest is a centenary limestone cottage that combines the use of contemporary materials with shabby ones, creating an historic and romantic ambience. Located in the center of Algarve, Alcantarilha is one of the last authentic villages of the south coast. Here you can find peace and quiet, kind inhabitants, a traditional market and still be close to heavenly beaches, only 5 Km away. The space The Concept - Designed especially for couples, a Cosy Nest is perfect for a romantic getaway. - The facade was kept intact, only restored. However, the interior was fully renovated, twice: first in 2003, when a second floor was added, then in 2018. The use of contemporary materials that contrast with the old ones aims to create comfortable spaces, while maintaining an historic and romantic ambience. Ground Floor - Living Room - It is the perfect place to relax, in the comfortable two seats sofa, while enjoying a beverage on the coffee tables and, if you feel like it, turning on the flat-screen cable TV. The floor lamp right by the sofa allows you a well-lit corner, where you can also enjoy a good reading. - Bedroom - The comfy bed features a top quality mattress and 100% percale cotton linens. The white decor pillows are unique and several were handmade by us. The closet is a wooden antique that was totally renovated by us, conveying a romantic feeling to the area. The small cupboard right next to the closet can also be used for storage. First Floor - Dining Room – Equipped with a round and curvy white table, here you can enjoy a romantic meal, close to the wooden window, in a well-lit area. You will find all the ceramics, cuttlery and glasses in the wooden white counter, just as charming as the round table. - Kitchen - It is equipped with an electric oven, with a ceramic hob and extractor fan, fridge with a freezer compartment and a stone worktop. Kitchen essentials are also provided, as well as a coffee machine, a toaster and a kettle. - Bathroom – The vanity has an authentic marble stone and was custom made to fit this cosy bathroom. The fixtures, as well as the decor, are all finished in old brass, to convey an historic feeling. Guest access The guests have the whole house for themselves.
