A rustic stargazer where you can fall asleep watching the stars and wake up to the sound of birdsong! A rural spot, far from street lighting, the sky lights up on clear nights. Simple, basic, but unusual accommodation. This is a wooden A-frame structure with enough room for two to sleep in with a mainly glass roof. The space Where else can you stay in a stargazer?! Our large Devon stone house in a quiet valley on the edge of the pretty village of Holcombe Rogus, surrounded by countryside. The house is half a mile from the village, which has a small shop, a garage and a pub. The Prince of Wales pub does pub food as does the Staple Cross Inn which is about 3 miles away. (food not available every day) Both Dartmoor and Exmoor, and the north and south Devon coasts, are about an hour away, and there are plenty of pretty walks close by, including the Great Western Canal. The cathedral city of Exeter is 40 minutes away, and the market town of Taunton 30 minutes. Nearby Wellington and Tiverton have a range of shops and supermarkets. There is quick and easy access to the M5 at both junctions 26 and 27, and is a 15 minute drive from Tiverton Parkway Train station. We also have available a single room. Please see separate listing. Guest access You will be provided with pillows and duvets, and extra duvets on cool nights. This is only really suitable during the warmer months as there is no heating. The stargazer is based in our garden, 20 meters from the house door, where you can use the bathroom and shower. Towels are provided. Tea and coffee are provided in the house. Cereal and toast are available for you to help yourself to in the morning in the conservatory. Guests are welcome to use some fridge space and the microwave in the kitchen. Off road parking. Wifi can be made available (in the house). We have the usual rural wifi access problems There is a sunny conservatory (when there is some sun!), and a garden with decking which guests are welcome to use. Other things to note Please be sure to use the directions I will send as using a sat nav with our post code will take you to completely the wrong place down a no through road to a farm. I will send you a different post code which will bring you near to our house and instructions to get to the house. The stargazer is in the garden so there is the possibility that small spiders might get in, so if you are worried about spiders, maybe this is not for you.
