A place to stay for days, to think, relax, cook and eat, catch the sun, write and eventually work with a very fast wifi reaching the garden as well. The house is build from an ancient cave, behind Santa Maria La Nova main church. The big garden is the natural extension of the house.. hammock, fireplace, tables and spaces among olive and lemon trees, hidden from tourists routes, perfectly inside the village. The space An house partially from a cave.. an original space with natural and essential materials: rock, wood.. glass and iron.. and outside a garden with a table and chairs under lemon and olive trees. The garden.. the garden it is something apart, a space with its soul and identity, a space where it seems everybody want to spend the time instead of being inside, to read, to cook, to sleep, to talk. I didn't expect that, but it seems garden is the very best room of the house. The house is simple, with the charme as advantage.. It is a unique space: upstairs a double bed and downstairs a couch that has a double futon.. It can easily have 4/5 people but the best of this house is for 2/3. Being on a cave requires some extra attention: surely having the floor made of rock means you will find it more difficult than a tiled one. It is still - and definitely wants to be - a house, not an hotel and I am not hotelier as well. So it isa a perfect place to live an authentic experience with all the small imperfections of the authentic things. You can arrive almost to the house by bus from Catania airport or Comiso and from all the town and villages of south-east sicily, but to enjoy the area having a car is highly reccomanded. You cannot park in front of the house because no cars can arrive there.. but the car park is 100 meters far and two simple stairs will bring you to the nice narrow raw where house and garden are. More then sleeping here, the unique experience is opening the door in the morning going to the garden to have breakfast and.. just look around.. to watch the Barocco and the rocks around, thinking how to spend the day.. going to the beach in Donnalucata or Sampieri? 10 minutes (6 km) going to see the beautiful Ragusa? 20 minutes or Modica? 9km or the Barocco of Noto? 30 minutes... or also the magic atmosphere of Siracusa? 1 hours or playing gold at Castello di Donnafugata? 35 km Everyone is welcome. Guest access to a large garden and to everything inside it, related to the season. a fire, a grill, a table outside, an hammock.. the fruit, the sun and the shadow under the trees. It is also beautiful cooking and having dinner outside.. just remember there are neighborhoods, just tell them! Other things to note Part of the house is a cave and the floor is made of stone.
