Turner Cottage - 3 bed with a View of the Harbour

On the beach ! A beautiful and unusual Georgian fronted flint fisherman’s cottage, with the views of the sea and Margate’s iconic harbour arm and light house. Just meters away from the beach and The Turner Contemporary 1 min walk away from covered Old Kent Market, ice creams, bakery, pizzeria, shops and bar 2 min walk to amazing fish and chips and loads of other independent cafes, bars, restaurants and shops 5 mins walk from Dreamland 10 mins walk across the beach to Margate train station The space Ground floor Lovely stylish lounge, comfy with eclectic furniture then good sized functional kitchen including large table bench seating and stools- Upstairs 3 bedrooms (two massive with superking beds , one smaller room with a double). Bathroom (bath with shower, nice pressure!) The beautiful original wooden stairs wind up through the house. Whole property is very unusual with loads of beautiful original features wood panelling, doors and sash windows. Some parts dating back to the 17th century - beautiful craftsmanship and very rustic feel! Guest access The whole house Other things to note Please, stair lovers only:) The property is set over 3 floors and the original staircase has very steep steps! There is no toilet on the ground floor. This is a very old period property. The back part the building is a 17th century fisherman cottage the front is 18th century, all original wooden floors- no fitted carpets - The windows have internal shutters but are not double glazed, it’s right on the sea front so the wind and sand can batter us - It‘s a super characterful house and has a very original style and fun quirky feel - think charm over creature comforts guys ;) The Wifi is fine but full disclosure because of our seafront location it has been known to occasionally drop in and out! Little minx We don’t have a TV at this property. If you want to watch tv please bring a laptop or iPad.
