Château des Edelins: Family Rooms, zwembad, diner

Château des Edelins, rural location, but also close to Vichy, Moulins and Clermont-Ferrand, offers 5 spacious (family) rooms and 2 gites. There is a (renovated!) swimming pool, a huge park (4 hectares) full of trees, shade and enough space for hours of "doing nothing". And also antique details, vintage furniture, but certainly also modern large beds and all comfort. Come here for the peace and space, for fun activities (enough tips!), for delicious food (always local and a lot of organic). Feel at home! The space Château des Edelins is a hunting lodge from 1638, with a swimming pool, a huge park, plenty of shade, an orchard, lots of grass and fine terraces. The rooms are spacious, high, fresh and bright with large windows with shutters, thick walls. From your room, you always have a view of the garden. And there are also cozy (and spacious) common areas in the house such as a dining room, living room, an honesty bar and a coffee bar with a good (bean) coffee machine and tasty tea. You come here for the space, because it is still really dark here at night and quiet and to relax. But there are plenty of activities: nice cities, delicious restaurants, nice cycling, hiking, climbing, canoeing. For children, we have indoor and outdoor toys and of course a lovely swimming pool. In the summer, it is very child-friendly here, which means that there are mainly families with children in the house. That's fun for the kids and therefore also for the parents ;-) And in the evening, of course, you can eat with us, at one of the many restaurants nearby or have a picnic in the garden. Most evenings we cook a "Table d'Hôte Menu" that consists mainly of local and organic products, all homemade. Guest access In addition to your own (very) spacious room, you will have access to almost the entire château. There are cozy and spacious common areas, such as a dining room, also for working or for lunch. There is a television room, where you can sit down. There is an Honesty Bar, with very good local wines, among other things. You have access to a refrigerator and there is a "cold" kitchen, with a microwave, dishes, glasses, etc: all the necessities for lunch or picnic (and the dishes... we do that ;-). And of course you are welcome in our kitchen, for a chat. And of course you have access to the park, the terrace and the swimming pool, for a walk or just for doing nothing... During your stay We also live in the château ourselves, have children ourselves, so we are often there. In case there's anything, for the fun of it, but nothing is required. It's spacious enough here to be alone. Other things to note We are a Chambre d'Hôte, a Bed & Breakfast, a Small Boutique Hotel, call it what you like - with a Small Restaurant and a whole host of local producers with whom we have good contact. The atmosphere is familial and friendly, and there is plenty of room for everyone. We have been here for almost 20 years and do our best to make everyone happy. You are warmly welcome!
