Château des Edelins: Family Rooms, zwembad, diner

Château des Edelins, rural location, but also close to Vichy, Moulins and Clermont-Ferrand, offers 5 spacious (family)rooms and 2 gites. There is a (renewed!) swimming pool, a huge park (4 hectares) full of trees, shade and enough space for hours "doing nothing". And otherwise antique details, vintage furniture, but certainly also modern large beds and all the comforts. Come here for the peace and space, for fun activities (tips enough!), for delicious food (always local and lots of organic). Make yourself at home! The space Château des Edelins is a hunting lodge from 1638, with a swimming pool, a huge park, plenty of shade, an orchard, lots of grass and fine terraces. The rooms are spacious, high, fresh and bright with large windows with shutters, thick walls. From your room, you will always have garden view. And otherwise there are cozy (and spacious) common spaces in the house such as a dining room, sitting room, an honesty bar and a coffee bar with good (bean)coffee machine and nice tea. Here you come for the space, as it is really dark here at night and to relax. But there are plenty of activities: nice cities, delicious restaurants, cycling, hiking, climbing, canoeing. For kids we have indoor and outdoor toys and of course a lovely swimming pool. In the summer it is very child-friendly here, which means that there are mainly families with children in the house. That's fun for the kids and therefore also for the parents ;-) And in the evening you can of course eat with us, at one of the many restaurants nearby or have a nice picnic in the garden. Most evenings we cook a 'Table d'Hôte Menu' which consists mainly of local and organic products, all homemade. Guest access In addition to your own (very) spacious room, you have access to almost the entire château. There are cozy and spacious common areas, such as a dining room, also for working or for lunch. There is a TV room, which you can sit downstairs. There is an Honesty Bar, with very good local wines. You have access to a fridge and there is a "cold" kitchen, with a microwave, crockery, glasses, etc: all necessities for lunch or picnic (and the dishes... we do;-). And of course you are welcome in our kitchen, for a chat. And of course you have access to the park, the terrace and the pool, for a walk or just for nice-niks-doen... During your stay We live in the château ourselves, also have children ourselves, so we are often there. For when there is something, for the coziness, but you don't have to. It is spacious enough to be alone. Other things to note We are a Chambre d'Hôte, a Bed&Breakfast, a Small Boutique Hotel, you name it as you like - with a Small Restaurant and a whole horde of local producers that we have a good contact with. The atmosphere is family and cozy and there is plenty of space for everyone. We have been here for almost 20 years and do our best to delight everyone. You are warmly welcome!
