Drumcovitt Barn is divided into three self catering cottages. It is set in the grounds of Drumcovitt House, a listed building dating from 1690, and offers high quality accommodation set in beautiful extensive mature gardens. Whilst we are set in a rural location and on a working farm we are also conveniently located to visit most areas, being just over an hour from Belfast, 20 mins from Derry, 40 mins from the stunning North Coast and Giant's Causeway and an hour and in you are into Donegal. The space This is Roe Loft which is ideal for couples and small families (due to the living accommodation being on the first floor it not suitable for those families with toddlers as due to the walls we haven't been able to provide a safe enough stairgate). It has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a separate WC and has lovely views of the garden and mountains from each room. Roe Loft is ideal for those looking for a quiet, peaceful break. It has oil fired central heating and a small electric wood burner effect heater in the sitting area. It's loft layout mean that there is a entrance hall and utility/WC downstairs and the rest of the accommodation is upstairs. Tastefully decorated throughout, upstairs you will find two bedrooms (one double bedroom and one twin) and a family bathroom with bath and shower over. Both bedrooms have beautiful views of the gardens and mountains beyond. The living/dining/kitchen is an open plan area. The kitchen has everything you will need to self cater properly and the sitting area has a window seat to read, watch the world go by (rain or shine) or take in the views. We also provide a welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and a sweet treat. We are able to lend board games - just ask - and there is a selection of books for young and old in each cottage. For the more adventurous, we are able to lend Ordnance Survey maps of most of Northern Ireland and Donegal. Outside you will find your own patio area which (generally from Easter to autumn - weather dependent - will have a teak outdoor table and chair set and BBQ). All guests are very welcome to make use of our extensive, mature gardens. For children, there is a covered sandpit in the garden and for young and old alike we have a games room (shared space) with a table tennis, air hockey, table football and a large blackboard for those more artistically inclined. We take pride in providing very clean, comfortable accommodation with everything our guests need for a relaxing stay. Other things to note A welcome pack is provided. In addition to all bedding, blankets and towels for cottage use, we also supply; hand soap, washing up liquid, tea towels, dish cloths, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, basic cleaning materials, salt, pepper and oil to get you started. Roe Loft is not toddler or dog friendly due to it's build/layout. Both of our other cottages are both toddler and dog friendly (Foyle and Faughan), one dog per cottage by prior arrangement.
