Our garden chalet is an extension of our home and is close to Newquay town centre restaurants, Fistral Surfing Beach, family-friendly activities, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love our chalet because of the cosiness, the views, and the location. The chalet has been beautifully decorated and is comfortably furnished to facilitate a relaxing and enjoyable stay. There is a dining table and four chairs and television/DVD player. We have a selection of DVDs. Should you wish to borrow any. The space The chalet is situated next to our home in a prime position above The Gannel tidal River Valley offering beautiful walks through unbelievable scenery and beaches during low tide. The famous Fistral surfing beach is within easy walking distance, as is the town centre offering an eclectic selection of shops, restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities. There is a selection of coffee, shops, fish and chip shops, gift, shops, and surf shops, offering surfing style clothing, i.e. swim shorts, board shorts, rash vests, et cetera. Guest access There is a ramp at the entrance to the chalet which is suitable for wheelchair access if required. However, it should be noted that the driveway is steep and would need to be accessed by car or other motorised vehicle. The unit is a self-catering situation with a microwave, toaster, hob and all cooking utensils and crockery provided. We have recently added an air fryer which is excellent for cooking anything from a toasted sandwich to a whole small size chicken. The chalet is suitable for able bodied and for the mildly incapacitated and is wheelchair friendly boasting wide doorways, some grab rails and a wet room. The chalet is quite small and, as such, is most suitable for a couple. The double bed in the bedroom is a 4’ 6” double. It is a normal 6’ 6” in length. All bedding and towels are provided, with the exception of beach towels. There are patio doors off the lounge, leading into the garden from which the house derives its name, i.e. Il Giardino. You are more than welcome to use all parts of the garden and patio area. There is a bistro set outside the chalet and also a full size dining table and chairs outside the dining room of the house. Other things to note Our garden chalet is situated in a quiet residential area. There is a bus service and the bus stop is close by. There is a post box almost opposite the house. We have beautiful tidal river valley views from the front of the house and the famous Fistral Beach is within a five minute walk. As locals we have a good local knowledge of the local area and will be happy to share. Since Covid, we have invested in an air purifier to ensure that our guests are protected against any further outbreaks. Bearing in mind there is no oven in the chalet, we have also invest in an air fryer. Please come with a lighthearted attitude and be prepared to enjoy some relaxing days on our beautiful beaches and in our interesting town. Please feel free to come in merry, tipsy and/or happy, but not drunk.
