The space This charming lodge is perfect for the ultimate, peaceful escape. Its tranquil location offers the opportunity to unwind and relax, yet close to local amenities, attractions, beautiful beaches and coastline. The accommodation has sunshine all day and enjoys spectacular sunsets and clear star lit skies with no air, noise or light pollution. It also has full oil central heating and a log burner for coziness in the winter months. If you love wildlife and bird watching then you will see many species here... Red Kites, cuckoos, woodpeckers, owls, king fishers and all other native birds. Our private woods are a SSSi site for the preservation of otters, flora and fauna and we politely request that you follow the designated path and do not disturb the 2m edge of the river bank. We have created a natural track that doesn’t interfere with the preservation order, that meanders alongside the river. We have placed a wooden bench where you can sit back and enjoy the utter tranquility, or take a picnic, sip chilled wine or hot coffee, but we request that no BBQs are lit here. Please note that the bedroom has 2x single beds. We have a solid Oak King size bed with high end SIMBA mattress to ensure the most comfortable nights sleep for you. It is in the open plan lounge next to the large window with stunning country views and a log burner for cosy, winter evenings (available from October through end March) Suitable for romantic getaways, couples, families and friends. We have installed the ultimate, luxurious 4 /5 person hot tub with strong jets, mood lighting, waterfalls and WiFi for music. It enjoys spectacular views and sunsets and is totally private. The COVERED hot tub is for YOUR exclusive use and is totally secluded in the private grounds of the chalet, situated beneath the lounge window. You can relax in the warmth and watch the evening sunsets with a glass of wine after a long day exploring. A roof covering has been installed to enable use even in wet. It’s totally private and secluded, perfect for your peaceful getaway. Please bring your own towels for use outside in the tub and suitable footwear like Crocs or sliders. We offer the ultimate escape from it all. Unrivalled secluded peace and totally private….this is a unique property as we truly can boast that you are completely private. Apart from our property it is a stand alone property enjoying utmost tranquility and stunning incredible views. It’s a perfect retreat. We have horses here which we ask you to not approach or feed please. We can arrange for you to meet them with the host present if you would like. You’re welcome to walk in our own private woods where the river is, but you do so at your own risk and we do not accept any responsibility or liability if you should incur any injury. Christmas is fast approaching and we decorate the chalet to make it feel festive and home from home 🤶 Guest access The approach to our Chalet, as stated elsewhere, is down a 1/4 mile track, it’s undergone surface work for new drainage, which has meant there are several small humps along it so please drive with caution and in the winter time there are pot holes, but any car can access as long as you drive with caution. We just ask you to be aware of this and drive accordingly especially when arriving in the dark as the track is not lit. The very spacious chalet/lodge stands within its own secluded, charming and pretty grounds and garden which is totally private, enjoying beautiful views of the valley field below and evening sunsets. It’s totally unique as no noise, air or light pollution, absolutely stunning views. It’s an experience as well as a getaway and a rural retreat. It’s always warm and very cosy. Guests can access our OWN private woods with a new mile long track to walk on( please wear appropriate footwear)the river bank to enjoy nature and wildlife or go otter watching at dawn/dusk, subject to informing the owners, for safety reasons. Dog owners are welcome to walk their dogs off the lead and enjoy the freedom of our private grounds. It’s ideal for reactive and nervous dogs as they will not encounter anyone else. There is ample, safe, spacious parking and motion censored lights for the darker evenings. Suitable for people with mobility issues as not steps and good access from parking area. Other things to note We are 3 miles away from the closest small grocery stores, so please be mindful to be organised with provisions and we recommend that you have enough food and drink for your stay. Tesco/Morrisons/ Aldi’s and Lidl are all in Haverfordwest and Cardigan which are about 15 miles away. There are lovely local sole trader, independent shops in Narberth (5 miles away) where you can buy local produce from Butchers, bakery, delicatessen, fresh fruit/veg, gin shop, co-op and a Fish &Chip shop, pizza parlour, Chinese and Indian takeaway as well as many fab places to eat. If staying in peak season then it’s advisable to book restaurants and activities prior to your stay. If however you have forgotten anything then we shall be happy to assist you. We supply one large basket of logs with fire lighters and you are welcome to purchase more logs at £6.00 per large basket. This is offered only from October through to March as the chalet is very warm and cosy. We will supply a few logs for the fire pit for outside use in the warmer and drier weather. We do not supply BBQ coals so we suggest you bring some if intending to use the BBQ. Sometimes we do have spare though should you forget. Checkout will ALWAYS be a strict 10.00am unless otherwise communicated and agreed between ourselves, when bookings permit otherwise. We will always try and accommodate people when requested. Our cleaner is paid from 10.00am so if you are late you might incur charges. PLEASE NOTE, we have return customers coming back 2/3/4/5 times again which is testament to what we offer here at such reasonable rates for 5* rating and the experience of staying somewhere totally private… no passing cars, no other serviced accommodation, no neighbours, truly is rural bliss. Please see our rules regarding dogs. We will accept ONE well behaved dog at the discretion of the host…PLEASE CONTACT HOST AT TIME OF BOOKING TO DISCUSS. We are also willing to accommodate 2 small dogs with prior agreement. We apply a one off cleaning fee of £30.00 for one dog duration of stay. Please contact first and do not assume as the Chalet garden is not fully secure and we are surrounded by livestock. Countryside code applies and dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at ALL times. The extra charge will be applied due to the extra cleaning which we will discuss at time of confirmation of allowing your dog and we must be respectful to other guests who might suffer from allergies. Please clean your dog faeces up from our land and Chalet garden. Please be aware that in height of summer we are unable to cut back the hedgerows due to nesting season and conservation of wildlife. We do NOT have provision for charging electric cars and we will not allow cables from a car to the property in an attempt to do so. If you do need to charge a car then please contact at time of booking as we will need to apply an extra charge for the use of electricity.
