This room is one of 2 on the upper storey of the house. It has its own private bathroom, with shower and a toy chest in the corner. If you have a pre-school child they'll have a great time rummaging in the box. The room is at the front. The space The room is one of 7 which are rented out at Fraoch Lodge on a short term basis. Our guests stay from 2 - 7 nights usually, though some people have been known to fall in love with the area and stay even longer. It is an ideal space for a family and can be combined with our private twin room to give the whole upper floor for a family of 5, complete with 2 bathrooms. There is a guest kitchen, lounge and dining room downstairs which are shared with the other guests. There is an open fire in the lounge, a multi-fuel stove in the dining room and a purpose built drying room if you're intending to enjoy the great outdoors. We also provide tours and Andy is a qualified mountain leader, often available to enhance your stay in the area with a guided tour. Guest access We live at the back of the house and have our own private kitchen, lounge and rooms. We are however often to be found around the house downstairs and we're always happy to answer any questions you may have. Our washing machine is not available for guest use but there is a laundromat at the caravan park across the road. During your stay We live on the premises and are usually there if you have any questions. Andy is a qualified mountain leader and if he's not already busy leading groups out on the hills, he is usually happy to help you plan a walk in the area whether round the village or on the hills. Rebecca is a good cook who enjoys preparing seasonal meals and loves to grow fruit and veg in the garden. She can usually be counted on to have some home made jam, bread and cake or biscuits available to purchase; or you can join the family for an evening meal. Other things to note We're on the edge of whisky country; very close to Loch Ness; in the Cairngorms National Park for hiking, mountain biking and birdwatching. So long as you enjoy the outdoors, there's no shortage of things to do for a week or more in the area. We've lots of choices for families reviewed on our blog.
