Château des Edelins: spacious rooms, swimming pool and park

Château des Edelins, is centrally located in France and fun next to Vichy. Nienke has been running a stylish B&B here for about 20 years, relaxed, cool "and almost hip" ;-) Inside you will find original details such as antique parquet, marble fireplaces, vintage combined with modern. And of course, there are new big beds! Outside, the swimming pool is located in the huge park. Come here to relax, exercise, culture. With or without children. And: we cook with pleasure, local and organic products. Feel at home! The space It is a hunting lodge from 1638(!), with high, fresh and bright rooms, large windows with shutters and thick walls. From your room, you always have a view of the park, with an orchard, lots of grass, a swimming pool (heated with solar panels and open "when possible") and nice corners and chairs. There are 5 large (family) rooms for 2 to 5 people, with a sitting area and all a private "en suite" bathroom. And 2 gites, including two bedrooms and a private kitchen. You come here for the space, because it is still really dark here at night, for a holiday week with the children, a romantic weekend or on a trip to the south. Or rent the entire château for a group and experience a wonderful moment with family or friends. We are located in the middle of the French hills with plenty of nice villages, but also close to fine cities, such as Vichy, Moulins, Montluçon and Clermont-Ferrand. There are sports activities to organize (rowing, canoeing, cycling and hiking), lots of culture and plenty of nature. And often the restaurant is open and we serve a local and organic "Table d'Hôte Menu," all homemade. Good and tasty food is important! And food allergies are no problem, but please indicate in advance ;-) Guest access In addition to your own (very) spacious room, you will have access to almost the entire château. There is a dining room, where you can always go, also to work (there is fiber optic internet). There is a television room, where you can also have an aperitif or tea. There is a "cold" kitchen, with everything for lunch or picnic: you have a fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, etc. There is a library in the hall, with plenty of books in all languages. And of course you have access to the park, the various terraces and the swimming pool, for a walk or for doing nothing. During your stay We also live in the château, but we have our "own house" here. So we are (almost) always there, but we do not share the dining room or the television room or other public spaces with the guests. Nienke is easily accessible, in case there is something, for the fun of it, but nothing is required. It's spacious enough here to be alone. Other things to note We are a Chambre d'Hôte, a Bed & Breakfast, a Small Boutique Hotel, call it what you like - with a Restaurant, which is also open to guests who are not staying with us. The atmosphere is familial and cozy, but it is still well and professionally organized here (Nienke: "I've been doing this for about 20 years, haven't I? ;-)"). We are open all year round and have a nice diverse and international audience. Outside of the summer, many couples (sometimes with small children) come to enjoy space, tranquility, delicious food and the surroundings where there is a lot to do. We also have many business guests, who come to work nearby and are looking for something more pleasant than an "impersonal and fast hotel". And in July and August, there are mainly families with children up to the age of 12 in the house. There is then a relaxed summer atmosphere with lots of soccer, swimming, chatting and laughing.
