The space Welcome to Cafundión, a much-loved family home in the peaceful seaside village of Ortiguera. More than a place to stay, it is a house with character, history and a close connection to the sea — a perfect base for slowing down and discovering this beautiful corner of Asturias. Cafundión is a traditional seaside house with over a century of history, named after the small stream that runs in front of it. It has been carefully restored to preserve its original character while offering a comfortable and welcoming stay. The house has heating, double-glazed windows and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and everything you may need during your stay. Ortiguera is a peaceful and authentic fishing village, far from the main tourist routes. Here you can still enjoy unspoilt landscapes, charming villages and a coastline that has retained much of its natural beauty. At the top of the village, you will find a small local bakery, perfect for fresh bread and pastries at breakfast. From the house, you can join the E-9 Coastal Path (GR-204), Ortiguera–Viavélez section, a beautiful route through small villages and countryside, following a spectacular coastline of cliffs, lush vegetation and beaches until you reach the picturesque harbour of Viavélez. Just a few kilometres away, you can also discover the history and heritage of western Asturias, with its ancient hill forts and traditional villages within the Navia Historical Park. A car is the best way to explore the area and enjoy the coastline, villages and landscapes of this peaceful corner of Asturias at your own pace.
