Quinta da Ribeira was lovingly restored by Lurdes and Nuno in 2005, creating a beautiful home from home, in a peaceful setting. Enjoy private use of the 2 bedroom farmhouse, - with its glorious pool and well manicured gardens. The farm is ideal for couples and small families. Our child friendly rural retreat has plenty of room to roam, relax and play! Just a few minutes from Tabua town you can access shops, restaurants and facilities with ease. Well behaved pets are welcomed! The space Quinta da Ribeira offers peace and privacy in a beautiful rural setting, with extensive gardens featuring creative details, including hand-carved elements by Nuno. Guests can enjoy the large private swimming pool during the warmer months, or simply relax poolside and take in the surrounding countryside. Outdoors, there are several areas for alfresco dining and relaxed picnics, allowing you to enjoy the gardens throughout the day. Guests with an interest in animals are welcome to visit the resident pigs and sheep, which many find a charming part of the farm setting. Inside, the farmhouse is rustic and traditionally styled, with two bedrooms and everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, with laundry facilities on site, and all linens and towels are provided. During the cooler months, the house becomes particularly cosy, with an open log fire in the kitchen–dining–living area, ideal for relaxed winter evenings. Please note: the swimming pool is unheated and is typically closed during the winter months, usually from late October to late April, depending on weather conditions. Guest access Guests have full private use of the two-bedroom farmhouse, along with exclusive use of the private swimming pool and enclosed gardens. The house and outdoor areas are not shared with the owners or other guests. The farm is accessed via electric gates and a private drive leading to the farmhouse, with ample on-site, off-street parking available. Check-in is independent, allowing for flexible arrival times, including late check-ins. Guests enjoy complete privacy throughout their stay, with help always available if needed. A family member visits the farm briefly each day to care for the animals and maintain the pool. These visits are discreet and unobtrusive, and guests’ privacy is always respected. For hygiene and safety reasons, dogs are not permitted to enter the swimming pool. Other things to note Quinta da Ribeira is located just 3.5 km from the town of Tábua, where you’ll find supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and everyday services, making it easy to balance rural tranquillity with practical convenience. We’re always happy to help guests explore like a local, with recommendations for days out, river and lake swims, local eateries, walking routes and points of interest throughout the region. The farmhouse has excellent Wi-Fi, suitable for remote work as well as everyday use. The property is set in a working rural area, surrounded by nature and farmland. At times you may hear local people working nearby on their land — a normal part of life in the countryside. During the summer months, villages throughout the region host traditional festas. On occasion, music may be heard in the distance for a day or two as neighbouring villages celebrate. Larger events take place in the towns rather than in the immediate area. Tábua also hosts an annual cheese festival, usually held in late February or early March, which many guests enjoy visiting during winter stays. Registration Details 23779/AL
