If you're looking for that ideal escape to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful Lake District, then Blencathra Lodge is the perfect place to be. Only 10 minutes from the M6 Motorway, we are perfectly situated so that you can enjoy this amazing part of the country. Set in the award winning gardens of Stafford House, itself an enchanting Grade 2 Listed "Folly" and nestling in the magnificent grounds of Greystoke Castle, your pets are more than welcome to stay with you too! The space A warm and friendly welcome awaits all of our guests, and we are on hand to help you plan your stay. Blencathra Lodge has no steps to gain access into, also no steps within the Lodge itself making it more accessible for Wheelchair users and for those who have difficulty getting around. Please be aware that this Lodge has a Wet Room rather than a Bathroom, which is equipped with a Shower that can be enclosed with a pull around curtain, toilet and basin. It also has wider doors throughout and handrails in the Wet Room to enable easy accessibility for Wheelchair users. Within Blencathra Lodge you will find a fully fitted kitchen with every appliance you may need, including full size fridge with ice box, full size oven and hob, pans, microwave, toaster, glasses, mugs, dishes, plates, and bowls, a tea-pot, and a cafetiere. You will also find Tea, Coffee, Sugar, various Cereals and a range of "Oats So Simple" Porridge's in the cupboard, also fresh Milk, Orange Juice, White or Brown Bread and Butter in the fridge. We have Freeview TV, also a DVD player, free Wifi, all your bed linen and towels, along with Shower Gel/Shampoo and a Hairdryer. We will do our very best to help make your stay here at Blencathra Lodge as enjoyable as possible. Our nearest Lake "Ullswater" is only 7 miles from here, so if this is your first visit to The Lake District, I can almost guarantee that it won’t be your last. You are more than welcome to enjoy the beautiful garden. Other things to note Please be aware that the Blencathra Lodge is priced at £50.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT, not just £50.00 per night for the space. So when making your booking you will need to enter the total number of Guests and "Pets" in your group to get the price. When your Pet/Pets are staying with you, please be aware that we charge an extra £5 per Pet. So a total of £5 per pet whether it is for 1 night or more. Included in the price is Tea, Coffee and Sugar. Orange Juice and Fresh Milk will be in the Fridge along with White or Brown Bread and Butter. Also in the cupboards you will find various Cereals, and Oats So Simple Porridge (to make up) and on the table will be a selection of Jams, Marmalade and Honey. Please also be aware that we have Cats and Dogs here too. The Cats are free to roam throughout the day, before coming back into the main property late afternoon/early evening depending on what time of the year it is. Our Dogs are not free to roam throughout the day and are kennelled. They will be out for a run in the morning (when Guests and their Pets are usually still in their Lodge) and are taken out away from the property for a longer walk/run in the evening.
