Garden room - Botanic Gardens, Central Cambridge

Cosy refurbished garden room (separate from the main house - no shared spaces) set in the tranquil, leafy courtyard of our Victorian terraced home in the sought-after area of Newtown. The house is opposite the Botanic Gardens, and is a 7 min walk from the station and a 15 min walk into town Separate side entrance, boho decor wooden floor, octaspring mattress, ensuite + patio garden Also: • Underfloor heating • Free wifi • Netflix/Freeview TV • Heated towel rail • Tea/coffee The space Our home is an end-of-terrace house, typical of the houses found in this Victorian neighbourhood. We live in arguably one of the best locations in central Cambridge and are lucky enough to have everything you could need within walking distance. The garden room is located in our courtyard and is entirely separate from the main house - there are no shared areas. Access is via the side entrance, which means you can come and go as you please. We are only a short walk from Cambridge mainline railway station, which runs fast trains (48 min) into London every half an hour and trains to Stansted on a regular basis. The walk into the town centre takes 15 minutes and there are many pubs and restaurants nearby. As well as the shopping centre and market, you will find many well-known places within walking distance such as Kings College, the Fitzwilliam Museum, the River Cam, Parkers Piece, the Judge Business School, the Corn Exchange, Jesus Green and Midsummer Common. HOME TRUTHS : 1) VERY IMPORTANT: The garden room is an attractive, tranquil, modern space, but it is a compact room (dimensions : 14ft x 9ft7, or 4.2m x 2.93m). It is not suitable for those who have large suitcases/lots of luggage/ require space or want to hang out in the room all day. It is ideal for a stopover or a short stay As you can see from our fantastic reviews, the vast majority of guests are happy with the size of the space, but we respectfully ask that you do not book if you think it will be too small for your needs, especially if you are booking for two people. Thank you 2) It is residents' parking only in our neighbourhood from 9am to 8pm. There are a couple of parking bays where you can stay 8 hours, but they get full very quickly due to the location (the bays for 2-4 hours parking are more readily available), There are multi storey car parks in the centre and the Park and Ride in Trumpington if you want to bring your car. 3) Unfortunately, we are unable to look after bags/luggage before check-in or after checkout Thank you for reading and understanding the above! Guest access The room can be accessed via a communal alleyway. This means you can come and go as you please without going through the main house, giving you total privacy.
