The cottage stands on the banks of the River Dulnain overlooking the famous old packhorse bridge. Whether seeking outdoor adventure or simply wanting to enjoy the spectacular landscape, the cottage provides the perfect base for couples, families or for sharing with friends. The space The Mole Catcher's Cottage is steeped in local history. Originally built in the 1800's as a traditional worker's cottage, it is so named in memory of one of its past residents who was indeed the local mole catcher. Today the cottage is owned by the Norton family who have lovingly renovated and extended the property to create a spacious open plan living area with two quirky attic bedrooms cleverly blending all the character of a traditional Highland cottage with a contemporary Scandinavian-inspired interior. This warm and stylish holiday home comprises a boot room, a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area, a large downstairs bathroom with walk in shower and upstairs leading to the attic bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other with two singles. There is a fridge, microwave, electric hob and cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and drying rack along with a TV and internet access. The Norton family are dedicated snowsport and outdoor enthusiasts and have an extensive knowledge of where to go and what to see and do in the local area. Other things to note Check in is from 4pm Check out by 9.30am Our wee cottage has been lovingly renovated to a high standard. It would be appreciated for all our guests to treat our property with care and respect. Please note that the quirky attic bedrooms,which add to the charm and character of the building, have relatively low ceilings. Although families are very welcome please note that the cottage is not really suitable for toddlers/ young children and we do not provide a stairgate, high chair, cots etc The cottage is on the banks of the River Dulnain and it is therefore advised that children are supervised.
